I think he would be a very wise choice.

What do you think about the FourFourTwo article 'Arry Would Relish England Job?
SPURS boss Harry Redknapp today admitted he would jump at the chance of managing England should Fabio Capello leave the post following the Three Lions' World Cup debacle.

Have your say.

Not good enough Harry. Roy Hodgson is the only English manager I can think of who is good enough.

can't do any worse? Doesn't he remember Steve McClaren failing to get england to euro 2008? Isn't failure to even qualify for a major tournament worse than exiting in the knockout stages?

Mclaren was born in York, so even though he has a scottish sounding name, he is English.

Harry would struggle because you can't wheel and deal players with a national team :p

Good manager sure, but honestly half his talents would be wasted with a national team.

The only things he'd be good at would be wasted with the national team. You're right, being unable to make transfers would be his downfall and it would be the fall from grace of another manager at the hands of the english team.
