pretty withering criticism. Wonder if this will spark the boys into action? Probably not.

What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Now Terry Gets a Dig From Demichelis?
ARGENTINA defender Martin Demichelis has lashed out at John Terry, claiming if he performs as badly against Germany as the England man did last weekend he would not be allowed home.

Have your say.

If that is the case then obviously the English defenders are just as useless. Terry is as slow as a wet week about the same as Moore.

lol at England - Really in some ways they deserve it and always do - They are just soo arrogant/ignorant, especially some sections of their football culture, that they can come across like say, 'The Americans of the Football world!'

The great emergence, especially financially, of the EPL has NOT helped those matters no end, infact it only worsens it, even though it's clear that in order for an EPL team to compete these days they need to bring in a raft of foreigners to the point where Non-UK players dominate the first XI, even squad. I'm sure many English fans these days are aware of this, but still, theirs a strong air of 'severely' unrealistic expectation that borders on disrespect for the other great footballing nations.

England has a LONG, LONG way to go in order to ever TRULY become a football powerhouse on the world stage, akin to Germany or Argentina, let alone Brazil.

And to lay off England for a sec - Spain are ofcourse worse, well records wise, it's only very recently their NT has truly come to the fore and good on them - thanks to strong local representation in even their biggest teams, thanks to strong youth systems, opportunity - As clearly evidenced by half of Spain's line up being from Barcelona's first team. Though IF Spain can make the final atleast, then they can finally break into that elite company, especially if they can sustain such success, in the coming decades or more aka don't do a 'Post '98/'00 France.'

And back on England - Platini and co are wanting to introduce the 6+5 primarily due to one country and that's England. Even they can do the maths, we all have, until more of England's best and brightest are starring for the Arsenal's, Man U's, Chelsea's and throw in Man City now, and even, some more of them overseas featuring for the Real Madrid's, Barcelona's, Inter's, Juve's and AC Milan's, then England won't do anything, even at the European Championships - the last of which they couldn't EVEN qualify for ofcourse!

And guys like Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney and one or two of the others ARE supreme talents but they're far too alone in the squad - Reflecting the lack of depth in quality, playing/playing regularly at the most elite clubs/level.
