Nice to see he is revelling in his cheating.

What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Suarez Revels In His 'Hand Of God' Moment?
URUGUAY striker Luis Suarez claimed "the 'Hand Of God' now belongs to me" after he broke Ghana's hearts and helped his side reach the World Cup semi-finals.

Have your say.

Typical.

He should be happy, but all this gloating is just getting annoying. The hand of god does not belong to you. Grow some humility.

If Cahill did this on the line, and then the opposition missed the penalty, I would be stoked, but if he came out like this after the game gloating and saying how awesome he was, it would leave a very sour taste in the mouth. Which is what Suarez is doing.

He looks like a little arrogant prick anyway.

Agreed. I believe Suarez is a hero for his team and his country but his gloating and intentionally comparing his handball to the 'Hand of God' incident is pretty disgusting. I'm sure if Tim Cahill had done what Suarez did he would have shown a lot more humility after the game.

Suarez's actions were heroic but they seem to have been fueled by the same deluded "god given right to win" idea that Alvaro Recoba was banging on about in 2006.

great player. celebrate because being in the semi-final is a tough ask for any team but show some humility!!! you did cheat after all! at least maradona didn't get caught and was a much better player too.

What a dickless stain on the face of football. I can't wait for the Oranje to DESTROY Uruguay.

So it's disrespectful and lacking humility to compare one bit of cheating to another? One bit of cheating is worth greater respect than another?

The hypocrisy over this amuses me. I heard someone mention that there's a chance it was just a reflex (I don't believe that, personally) but when I proposed that to a friend they said that even if that was true it was still a cynical foul (to call it cynical surely means their was intent, yes?) and they thought the decision around Kewell's dismissal was a bit harsh. I've met a number who are like that. Talk about double standards and general failure.

The end does not justify the means. Ghana were denied the opportunity to be the first African side to participate in a World Cup semi-final. What type of example does Suarez's goal-line volleyball set for our numerous junior players?

If the linesman had done his job right they would have been denied earlier because Stephan Appiah was offside.

Suarez is what is wrong with our game. His attitude stinks. Hopefully the Dutch rip Uruguay a new one in this game.
