Badstuber came to Bayern from Stuttgart, Trochowski was poached from St Pauli, Schweinsteiger was from Rosenheim and Kroos was from Rostock.
Lahm and Muller were the only two to graduate from Bayern's academy.

Re: the 'trigger happy' refs we've been complaining about. There's been 9 straight reds this time, the same number as last time. And the number of bookings has actually gone DOWN compared to in 06. The refs have certainly chilled the crap out after the group stages, something i didnt feel occurred during the knock-out stages during 06 :P (in football terms, it must be due to old age ;) ) The ref decisions haven't gotten better but not according to fifa with its 96 percent awesome rate - more howler decisions maybe :P When you've got 96% efficiency and some 350 bookings, that means you've booked at least 14 players that you shouldn't have. That's not really good enough. Quote:I'd like to know which club's youth academy has the best representation, the answer to this would be fascinating. I would guess it might be Barca or Ajax? I'd think Barcelona would have just a few more players than Ajax :-k Pique, Puyol, Busquets, Iniesta, Xavi, Dos Santos...off the top of my head. Ajax have a few though. Heitinga, De Jong, Sneijder, Van Der Vaart, Babel, Stekelenburg, Van Der Wiel, Ooijer...That's 8 players, you've just about got a starting XI of Ajax academy graduates! Maduro was unlucky to miss out on the squad too.

Another interesting stat I read is as to which club is providing the most GOALS this World Cup.
Bayern Munich 11 Inter Milan 9 Ajax 5 Atletico Madrid 5 Real Madrid 5 Valencia 5 Ankaragucu 4 Barcelona 4 Man City 4 Sevilla 4
The list still counts Villa as a Valencia player as he hasn't OFFICIALLY been registered for Barca yet. Or something.
And the league with the most goals:
Spain 25 England 21 Germany 18 Italy 17 Holland 8 France 7
