Yep, you heard it here first, on Wednesday night Craig made he's Gold Coast Over 35 debut. Craig turned out for recently relegated Tigers (the same team that also enjoyed a guest stint with Charlie Miller).

Playing in midfield, and clearly only playing socially Craig displayed good disribution skills and scoring a goal to set the Tiger's back on the winning path.

Craig was also good enough to buy a round of drinks for his mates after the match.
Whilst making it clear he was officially retired from professional football he is giving thought to continue playing socially in the local competition.

Heaps of ex Footballers do this. There is a team on the North shore of Sydney I think made up of the majority of the SBS commentary team. They blitz there league all the time but do it with a smile.

Wish I could tremember where i read this. it was a good article.

Good to see. Have always been a fan of Moore. Good to see these players can mingle with "normal" players.

It was in the Gladesville Hornsby FA... Not really North Shore either ;)

That was a few years ago, not sure where they play now tho.

Update.
Overheard from one of Craig's team mates during last nights game

'Come on mate, all the experience and no confidence'.

I had to laugh.

Craig is settling in quite well with his 3rd division team mates. He happy to have a chat and a laugh, he's actually like one of the boys, only there for fun and a beer and no showing off.

And he does do show horrible passes just like everyone else, but every nowe and then he shows his class.

I was lucky enough to have Craig at my table for a dinner when Roar played Fury in a trial match early last year.
A lot of blokes in the roar team seemed to be "above" mingling and talking to everyone but not Mr Moore. Really nice bloke and has my respect

You've picked it in one, he is in no way what everyone at the GC league thought. He is a genuine nice guy.

I have to say all the comments I've heard from management and players alike is all good, even the canteen girls have notice how he like everyone else, he is just a regular guy

I've spent about over 100 hours scrutinising Socceroo matches over the last few years. It has been a job for some of it.

Moore has been close to the most consistent player in the team. Along with Grella , he has won the most tackles for Australia. He has won the most heading duels and has a high surplus of wins in one on one encounters, the highest for any Socceroo.

Moore has a very high pass completion rate, very rarely mishitting a defensive pass.

He has rarely made an individual mistake, but has sometimes been part of a collective mistake.
