Guys im new to the forum and wanted to see if there was any other sydney olympic fans on here.

Im obviously one been to all the games this year and had a ball apart from the bad onfield results

Welcome aboard. There are/have been a few Syd Olympic fans on here. Some good natured and supportive of all football, and some less so.

I would suggest to look in the Grass roots section as there is usually a discussion or two about them in there.

I loved the sydney olympics. Cathy Freemans run was unforgettable.

I think you mean the UTS Sutherland Olympic Sharks. I remember when Milicic won a grand final against us for them. I hate Milicic.

The hatred towards Olympic is immense on this website and forum, great to see as this is what rivalvry is all about.

Imagine a real derby of Sydney Olympic FC v Sydney FC it would be huge, would not have to be fabricated or pumped up for hype this would be huge.

I was a fan of Olympic Sharks when they were at Cronulla.


I was 11 or 12 then and taped the game and watched it at least once every day for the next week or so. Must have driven my parents mad.:d

i wonder if you have any of those games still on tape...

From memory the games I think I still have from around then are:
- the last 4 NSL finals
- Olympic vs South Melbourne finals match at Marconi in 2002

Unfortunately they are real poor quality now. Last time I was going through them the machine chewed up some of them pretty bad. Most of them have large chunks of the vision destroyed.

So there's no chance I can get one with okay quality off you. Ill give ya some cash for em ;)

Tsekenis is a good and proven coach. Hopefully he brings Liavas with him. It will take me a very long time to get over my hatred towards him, how could he chant Makedonija with Skops, and on top of that, his assistant is a FUCKWIT. Anyways, i dislike him for now, I'll probably get over it, lets hope he can get us in the top5!!!
