Its just weird having the second highest leagues in the country like the VPL and NSWPL in grass roots section its like the the football people in this country dont rate there own sport.
confusing man It's very easy to find the forum if you want to discuss state leagues - it is headed: "Discuss the Australian state leagues and your local football" Frankly, traffic in this particular forum has been building over the last year or so, so people clearly know where to come. I don't see the problem (and I'm a state league fan).

the NYL is pretty much the equivelant of the NSWPL Grade 20. the state leagues would be the second tier at the moment.

na youth league is a poor level, i spoke to many ex-NYL players this year and they all said the NSWPL is much harder to play in than the NYL

Joffa wrote:The youth league would second highest. No it wouldn't. the NSWPL and VPL are consistently regarded as the highest level of football below the A-League, the NYL is just a youth A-League and therefore wouldn't be considered as below the A-League.

yeh I can understand that. I've always thought it would be re-named "State Leagues & Grass Roots" by now but hey what can you do :) There's a few guys here who can still talk football!

Because NSW football isn't Australian Football enough.
It's either Australian-wide Football or here for the moment, until they perhaps set up a State League forum... although considering the low amount of posts on here there's no real reason to move it.
And let's face it, the entire NSW system is based around Sydney anyway (with one or two exceptions of course) so it's nowhere near enough to be considered "Australian Football"
