The reason Asia is not an often exploited option by the A-League is because most of the Asian Leagues pay considerably more than the A-League. A good Asian player is going to get paid more playing for a J-League or K-League club than an A-League club so which league are they going to choose?

What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Perth to look to Indonesia? [RUMOUR]?

Have your say.

Yeah i guess
but the salary cap's important at this stage of the competition and at least it means our younger players get a chance to play.

i think you are referring to Pipat Tonkanya, who scored a goal as a sub against Oman at the Asian Cup last year. i doubt he would be that good and would rather see young aussies or aussies from the state leagues given a shot.
