One thing I learned in Year 11-13 art classes are that if someone can stare at a picture for long enough and hard enough, they can do what I call the "English Technique" or the "Art of Bullshit" to create some meaning in the paintings.

I enjoy the confidence boost, but at the same time I feel like an arsehat for selling something I didn't feel was up to standards, and I've only really done it when I've needed money. Using my savings on a new car put me back a bit, and the Wellington trip was also for business reasons as well as football and catching up with mates. Didn't get the jobs, so it was mostly a non-serious trip, but still. If you don't buy a lottery, you're never going to win.
