During pre season and the first game and match v Chelsea. Scholes looks like the Scholes of 10 years ago playing one-twos on the edge of the box. In that mood there is no better centre mid in the league in my opinion.

The only decent one they have is Owen Hargreaves and he hasn't played in nearly two years.

Also they needed a quality DM and a CB in form. England seem to lack in the DM area.
