Why is it that people only ever seem to comment on whatever is in the advertising slot at the top of the page??
The carlsberg add, the rugby add, this...
It is incredibly annoying having that constant movement on the screen though.

No, not really. What was annoying was the ad at the top right hand corner that folded down everytime your cursor moved over it.

I don't even notice the ads since they are right at the top of the screen. I must just subconsciously just scroll the page down a bit to hide them or something..

After finding that bouncing football so annoying, I wrote this to 'advertising@fourfourtwo.net.au'
If you also find it annoying I advise you do the same:

"Hi,
I don’t mind advertisements – you need to make your money – advertisements are the most obvious way of doing this.

However, I regularly visit au.fourfourtwo.com and with every article I open I am faced with an advertisement – with nothing in it apart from an animated football which enters from the left, bounces around the ‘screen’ of the advertisement, then replays/loops – over and over again. It isn’t actually advertising anything. It’s just a ball bouncing with a backdrop of a ball. I consider this to be in the same category as the mosquito that kept me awake last night by flying around my ears.

This is possibly the most annoying thing I have ever had to deal with when I am trying to read an article. Can you please make it stop or change it?"

If you watch it for long enough it does move, it kind of goes fuzzy and changes to the boot.

You are talking about the puma boot, aren't you?

Yeah, and FFT have gone and replced it with ads that also move. These include the new puma boot and their magazine. Which means you have won a battle but not the war. Moving ads are still on.

No... They are nike vapor IV, worn by cristiano ronaldo, the adds say something about the "armoury" or something.

There you go:
http://www.nike.com.au/thearmoury/

NIKE!

There are puma sponsored links around the website so you are excused.
