I'm not a fan of Merrick, he had so many good players either on the bench or reserves who he did not use and decided to go with the shit on the park and Melbourne didn't even make the finals. Sack him.

I don't think that Merrick being in Hawaii will have had any impact on discussions as Gary Cole apparently looks after all finances. If anything, it may have helped having the miserable Scottish git out of the bloody way to stop him causing any more problems.
