Looked at the table this morning and you're not too far off. If City win their games in hand and we win tonight it does make 3rd a bit of a stretch but it's definitely not over. Next week against Everton is a huuuge game for you guys. Win and top 3 is back on, lose and you're worried about losing 4th. It's not so much the point difference, but Arsenal need all 3 teams above them to slip up fairly badly, not impossible but unlikely.

It's a shame everyone will talk about our away results against Liverpool/Chelsea/City this year and everyone will forget Spurs' record of 1 draw, 5 losses, and a goal difference of -23 in 6 matches against the same three this season

The amount of criticism Sherwood receives on a weekly basis is probably how much Arsene got all season. I think just from reading the comments on Spurs nobody would guess this is a team that's still 6th in the league.

But no mention of us only conceding 1 in home games against those same teams. Speaking of which, that record is fucking ridiculous and makes no sense

Transfer 'in the knows' on twitter have already started - Agent Jim saying arsenal reps in italy trying to agree a deal for super mario. I don't see this one happening and I am not sure I want it to.

Edited by Jon90: 2/4/2014 02:13:49 PM Haha, those Balotelli rumours have been around since we signed the Puma deal (Balotelli is one of their biggest stars) Fabregas,Reus and Balotelli all wear Puma  Imagine if we signed Reus or Balotelli :o

If we get him, it'll either be genius or a catastrophe. I would like Drmic as a back up too, but I really feel we need a top class forward, we've always had one and we can see how we suffer without one.

Reus would be superb but there's no way Dortmund would let him go with Lewa departing.

on any others… At the moment that is all because the other injured players are not back, not Wilshere, not Ozil. Everybody else is alright.
on Laurent Koscielny… He is still out. The earliest [he will be back] is next week, the latest is the week after.
on Wilshere and Walcott… They are alright, they are doing well. It is still early for them, of course for Theo the season is finished and Jack is progressing well.
on Mesut Ozil… The FA Cup will be too soon for him, but he will hopefully be back soon after that. Rambo \:d/

So Lukaku's agent is fishing for a transfer from Chelsea. Is he worth looking into, do you think?

I'd love to see Lukaku at Arsenal, I really rate him, he's only 20 and averaging a goal every 2 games in the premier league, he's without a doubt going to get even better. I'd also like to see Dzeko in an arsenal shirt.

I wouldn't mind seeing us enquire about him. We will need a striker next season, could be worth a bid.

That's an absolute must, I like Giroud but he should not be the number 1 striker at the club. A top quality striker and DM should be the top 2 on the wish list and are signings that must be made.

Dzeko in an Arsenal shirt would certainly be interesting.
Apparently Lukaku's agent has been in negotiations with Spurs.

Honestly if we got Dzeko in as our #1 striker I would not be disappointed at all. Massive amount of love for that man and very underrated imo.

Dzeko is not underrated not at all. If anything he's overrated- needs 10 chances to put away a goal, same problem as Giroud. I wouldn't say he's an upgrade at all which is what I'd be looking for. In saying that for the right price I'd take him, a bit of a different option to Giroud.
Lukaku won't happen, Mourinho won't sell to us it's that simple.

Dzeko's finishing is pretty average and that's been the main thorn in the side for him against physical defences. He's too easy to push off balance.

Lukaku is a great finisher, but I think his general play would leave Arsenal fans frustrated
