The David Villa rumours are really picking up. May have been a a 14 million pound bid made.
Just seems a bit odd for us to spend so much money on a 31 year old just returning from a long injury lay off*. Would be nice to have two quality strikers for once though.

Would definitely prefer Villa though
A) He has spoken of his admiration for Arsenal in the past B) Wants to leave C) Can do a job now, would fit in immediately D) Barcelona still owe us a large portion of money.

Jovetic would be great, he is very very similar in his play style to RVP. Could also do a job on the wings. Talented player, would be nice if we got him.

Popped up on Sky Sports yesterday. Word was that they offered 20m and La Viola want 32m. If there's anything in that I'd like to think we could meet somewhere in the middle. I don't think Fiorentina will waver on that asking price. They could easily get 32m from another club.

PSG would make more sense, Wenger has praised PSG and said he'd one day like to go home IIRC. RM though, where did that come from? RM have wanted him for years. Offered him an insane amount of money in 2006 or around there I think it was and the rumours have been around ever since. As for PSG, can't really see him managing anywhere after Arsenal, maybe as a director of football, but can't see him going into management again. Wouldn't be surprised if he retires all together after he decides it's time to leave Arsenal. You would have to think that with Arsene's management style and philosophy that he wouldn't manage another club after Arsenal. At his age and the commitment required for the role, surely nothing could tempt him to try and do it all again.

There were rumours last week that several key players for Real Madrid had threatened to hand in transfer requests if Jose Mourinho wasn't dismissed from his position.

All we ever hear about is how inconsistent Theo is and how great and wonderful Bale is when in actual fact Theo does more with his time on the pitch than Bale does. And it's for that reason I'd much rather Bale. I'd like to see Bale up front to see how he'd go. The fact that opposition teams often see the way to stop Spurs is to stop Bale really makes it hard for him to have the affect he could if he was just another player. Will be interesting to see if teams start targeting Wallcott and how hi stats are affected by that.
