Apparently arsene doesnt like his attitude and his Twitter outbursts. Would love frimpong to get back to when he was a up and coming player ,but like we learnt with Eduardo and atm with Rambo sometimes players can't come back from.injuries the same player .hope I'm wrong and he tears it up and proves to arsene he deserves a shot

Frimpong was fucked over by the two season ending knee injuries he had two summers in a row. 2 years ago he was outstanding in pre-season and looked set to break through.

I think it could work well with cazorla (or even arshavin) given freedom to play behind the strikers

Yeah 3-5-2 would be the logical choice with the options we have in midfield.

Talk in the press that Arsenal may switch to a back three with Sagna at right wing-back, Koscielny, Mertesacker and Vermaelen as the three central defenders and Gibbs as left wing-back; will be interesting to see if its a 343 or a 352. I think 352 would suit the players we have.

Walcott/Podolski - Giroud
Gibbs - Wilshere - Arteta - Cazorla - Sagna
Vermaelen - Mertesaker - Koscielny

So who's in the wrong here, the multi-millionaire saving a few bob when he's out with his family, or the multi-billion dollar company?

Tbh, that's being smart. It means he can spent the money elsewhere so he's not broke by the time he's 40.

It also explains why he's been so lethargic on field the past few years :-"

[size=6]Giroud: 'I’m confident about my qualities'[/size]

Olivier Giroud is delighted with his recent form - and insists he never doubted his ability.

It took the summer signing seven games before he scored his first Arsenal goal, against Coventry at the end of September. Since then though, the French international has found the net with more regularity, netting three times in his last two appearances.

The striker is happy with the way he has settled in at the Club, and warns his best is still to come.

“I feel better and better,” he said after Saturday’s 3-3 draw with Fulham. “I’m confident about my qualities. I never give up. When I didn’t score at the beginning of the season I stayed confident and always worked on my mind and my game.

“It’s not a surprise for me [his good form]. I want to play a lot of good games like tonight to succeed [and] to win a lot of games with my new club. I have to score and continue [to do so].”

Arsène Wenger’s team have won one of their last four Premier League games, and were denied victory against Fulham when Mark Schwarzer brilliantly kept out Mikel Arteta’s injury-time penalty. Giroud doesn’t blame the Spaniard for missing from the spot, and is convinced his team-mates have the character to turn recent results around.

“It’s a bad run but I think there is a lot of quality in this team. We will have better days in front of us.

“I think Mikel wanted to score because he made a penalty against us. I think he really wanted to score.

“I was confident. Some guys asked me why I didn’t take the ball but before the game the boss [has] a penalty list. It’s very difficult because MIkel was under pressure because it’s the last minute. It’s not very easy to shoot a penalty."

So glad to see him now shutting a few people up. He was outstanding on Saturday, was one of the few bright spots. Was great hearing Tony Gale bleat on about how we should've bought Berbatov instead of Giroud, only to have Giroud score a few minutes later

6 goals and 5 assists in all competition in 17 games
is a great start to his time in English football.

gale was pissing me off no end. All he did was bag the crap.out of us. Also sniggered. I know sky and ESPN hate us but come on . And I thought the kiwis were bad

No, he's not. Vermaelen is in the worst form of his life while Kos hasn't had much time. There's also the rumours of a rift between Steve Bould and Arsene Wenger. Whatever reason you take, Mertesacker is the only real saving grace of our defence lately and who would've expected to say that 6 months ago?

agree we need to drop tv5 to the bench he has been woeful . Let mikki be captain as he is seen as captain by everyone .let boss and bfg consolidate their partnership . We need to pull our fingers out of our arses. I rather see us finish 5 or 6 to get someone on our board out of la la land. Also were's usmanov ? haven't heard a peep in a while :lol

I do love how much we've heard in the past few weeks after every game how Arsenal are out of the title race. I'm sorry, but it's hard to be out of a title race you were never in

As for this season, our aim should be the League Cup and at least 4th place. Like last season though, maybe it wouldn't be the worst thing to finish 5th and deliver a lot of people at the club a wake up call.

Something definitely needs to change, I'm not going to pretend I know what it is that needs to, but something definitely has to change for this club to move forward

The most frustrating thing is that it's not as if these players aren't good enough, they so clearly are
