Been thinking about the defense for todays game, and the more I think about it the more I think Arsene will play Jenkinson at LB so he doesn't have to bring in Squillaci and break up the Koscielny Vermaelen partnership. Which may actually be the best option instead of Vermaelen at LB.

i was about to say that. carrol and suarez will be a handfull and we need our two best CBs.

i was also wandering if arsenals potential signings are waiting for the champs qualifer to see if we get through or not. well maybe scott dan wont care but other people on the continent will. (he missed the europa game the other day which is good news)

Frimpong was good, would have been interesting had he not been sent off. Wasn't really impresses by Liverpool at all tbh

It's absolutely beyond ridiculous how bad a shape this team is in. The players Wenger has brought in to supplement the team have all come from conference or high school football except Gervinho. We have about 57 injuries and even with a "full stength" team we look weaker than most teams. We have no real creativity in the centre and with our style of play it is crucial to have that. We're essentially trying to drive a car with no wheels... Up a hill.


Not to mention the fans in general. I don't think there's ever been such anger, disappointment and sheer frustration. A huge number have turned on Wenger and are booing this team at every chance they get. Whilst I don't condone it, they have every right to boo. Ticket prices have been increased majorly and what for? They're now paying a ridiculous amount to watch the weakest Arsenal team in many many years.


But having said that, we're about 4 quality signings away from a potential premiership winning team. It's up to Arsene.

Too right mate, Frimpong looked class.

But now we play your lot with no Song, Frimpong, Gervinho and Wilshere doubtful. To top it all off Ramsey has not been living up to expectations; although in fairness, there's far too much pressure on him with the departure of Fabregas.

It's not looking good for the Arsenal.

Yeah I think if there were any doubts about Frimpongs ability to step up he answered them last night. Was brilliant apart from his sending off.

As for Ramsey, I think his biggest problem is 1) Fabregas leaving and having so much pressure put on him and 2) Jack also being out injured. He seems to have so much more confidence when playing with Jack, and seems to be a totally different player.

its like a reversal of past seasons.

we now have a great goalie, and obviously an excellent centre half, and with frimpong playing well finally cover for alex song.

attack = horrendous and shite.

Pretty much this for me too. Its just a laugh.

Yeah it's not looking good, wouldn't be surprised if we concede a lot against United, even if our defence has looked pretty good in the last few matches.
