Hey Zoidy, you must have been sitting near us cause we were just over from Ahmed and the rest of the Elrich family. Just before kickoff a few of the Jets contingent in our bay spotted him and started a 'Ahmed, Ahmed, come and play for us next year, Ahmed, Ahmed' chant and after about 2 mins he stood up and gave us all a big thumbs up... Although it could have been to shut everyone up.

I agree. Tarek was especially oustanding in the grand final. The change to a back 3 allowed Tarek and Adam Dapuzzo more freedom and less pressure in more of a wing back role. Tarek seemed alot more confident and the mariners seemed to find him hard to handle.

Ahmed wants to play a few seasons with his brother and I understand from reports around town Tarek may have agreed to terms with the Jets So hopefully we may see the two of them together at the Jets. Ahmed sat a few rows in front of us at the game and seemed be really into the game and get right behind the Jets. The 2 Elrichs and and 3 Griffiths at the Jets... good times ahead.

Word around up here is Zadkovic is signed and sealed after privately being released by Sydney. I don't know if i mis-read it, but him and Musialik have the same manager and he commented somewhere recently that Ruben was all but locked up with Stu to finalise after the Grand Final... I'd still rather have kept Durante than throw money at a new recruit though...

Well Bridge looks gone, but if the Jets management pull their fingers out of their 'moral principle' arses, and do what Gary says and the community wants, they could have a squad for the ACL that looked like this:

Bench: Holland, Dapuzzo, Zadkovich, Kantarovski, Hearfield.

Plenty of class, and littered with youth so they could run all day. Could give the ACL a real shake...

Would be a really really strong team, Ahmed coming off a full pre-season will be a bargain and everyone knows the quality player that Ryan is.

How could you get rid of your best player. Tarek was outstanding for them this year, I loved his transformation from midfield to defence. I think Ahmed will be awesome for them as he will have a full pre season under his belt.

I agree with Sniper, as discussed in previous rumour mill's and forums, the Jets have already made an offer to Ahmed in which he will accept. He is without a contract atm and if he doesnt accept the offer he'll have to look overseas and will be unlikely anyone will pick him up due to his past injury problems.

I reckon Ljubo will go to the Reds and Tarek will stay at the Jets and lure his brother Ahmed.

Yep, theres been rumours for a while about Ljubo, but I don't know how they will get Ljubo and Ahmed under ther salary cap?
