Assaidi's had more mediocre opposition, so that could be why he looked better...but still...right now he looks twice the player that Borini is. Borini's a dud.

Brendan Rogers has taken a dig at the referees and the decisions going against us. We're going to come off worse for that judging from past experiences.

Borini isn't a dud. He just shouldn't be playing on the wing. He should be Suarez's back up, and when he comes on he should play CF.

to me borini looks more like the menacing type sitting behind the striker. Lacks that clinical one touch and finish..Like the one i think against man utd, he was in on goal and the first touch took him far wide, ended up fluffing it.

He's done that at least once in just about every game he's started. His touch is poor and his finishing isn't much better. He doesn't make the runs or have the awareness to be a winger and doesn't have the touch/finish to be a striker.

Wisdom and Allen were just incredible. Sahin and obv. Suarez too. Sterling and Suso looked good. But can we go a game without Skrtel, Reina or both making an epic fuckup?

Those Allen stats look nice...but even with the number of passes he's had this season he hasn't got an assist to his name. The team looked good, but we've got to do something about these defensive lapses or we're going to be punished like we were v United.

Enrique and Downing are both as good as gone in January.

Disappointing result. Once again, individual errors and lapses in concentration cost us. There's not enough cover from MF and we really miss Lucas.

But once again, we dominated the game for long spells and just couldn't make it count. We're still a work in progress. We'll get there.

Downing was actually good for once. Coates would've been my MOTM if not for his 10 minute capitulation near the end, but he was excellent otherwise. Robinson was also a standout. And Henderson once again did well.

As long as we beat Stoke this result will be forgotten. At least most of the first XI got a rest.
