I've gone Gerrard. Kuyt was an option but nah. which is a disater, he's such a better defender than Skrtel  Good one. Skrtel is a much better defender. Agger is far superior when it comes to other aspects of the game, but in terms of plain defending, Skrtel is a beast. Was fantastic today, and has been on multiple occasions this season.

And I can't believe Roy was SMILING at the end of the game. Jesus.
"I don't think he (Torres) is physically unfit. We don't have any injury problems with him. He got battered for his performances at the World Cup and mentally he is a bit low. He needs a goal to get his confidence back. I have no qualms with his performance against Everton. I don't feel it to be a crisis because the way we have played today I don't think anyone would believe that is the type of football of a team in the bottom three. I think we can consider ourselves unlucky."
Deluded. We weren't unlucky at all. Far out Roy. I don't want to hate you but you can't keep this delusion up. I stood by Rafa unil the end, and I want to stand by you too. But you have to make some changes.

The pressure finally maybe getting to Hodgson?
Can't see how he can say you were unlucky, and I'm sorry Roy but it is the type of football of a team in the bottom 3, that's why you're there.

im a united....heres what i saw...
every single cross was cleared by an everton player. the best cross came from carragher. liverpool sat back in the first half which was costly. why liverpool persist with one striker is beyond me. liverpool played better when skrtel and greeky sat back and everyone pushed forward...
jermaine beckford is a little annoying prick.

Yeah. We had so many balls into the box that were cleared. Jagielka and Distin played very well.
We should have had N'Gog in there from the outset.

Quote: Alberto Aquilani Expects To Sign Permanent Deal With Juventus In March Or April - Agent The agent of Juventus midfielder Alberto Aquilani believes his client will only speak about a permanent move to the Bianconeri in March or April. Franco Zavaglia admits Aquilani was not a bad choice when he joined the Turin giants on loan late in the transfer window. "We will only speak with management in the Spring: March or April, and not any time prior" Zavaglia told TuttoJuve.com. "He is playing well, and as long as he does this, Liverpool will not be giving us a discount. "I had told the press he was not a waste. Everyone has now realised how good a player he is. "He has the ability to change a team, and am pleased not only for scoring, but also because of how he is playing. I also thank [Juventus coach Luigi] Del Neri for the words he spoke about Aquilani, which have given him motivation." Zavaglia is also pleased that the former Roma midfielder is also in consideration for a national team call-up. "It is certainly an objective, but an Italian national team jersey is only awarded after continuity," he concluded. http://www.goal.com/en/news/10/italy/2010/10/18/2170643/alberto-aquilani-expects-to-sign-permanent-deal-with-juventus-in-

To be honest with your new owners a year in the Championship could do wonders for you:
Cut the deadwoood - Torres, Skrtel, Lucas, Maxi and Gerrard have to go none of them are performing or did last year and Gerrard is not getting any younger. Players like Carragher, Babel, Cole and Kuyt will easily rort the Championship and it will be great exposure for Babel and Pacheo and the other young kids getting them ready for EPL.
Ring in costs - Cut your wage bill sell off some players get a little bit of extra cash and be ready to invest hard into the squad when you go back up.
Bring fns into reality - The best thing that happened when Newcastle were relegated, fans realised that we are not as big as we thought we were. The same hing needs to happen with your fans. They need to realise that for a few years your not going to challenge for the title.
Of course your just as likely to finish lower end of the table survive relegation on the last day then win the title next season now I wrote this :p

Torres has been shit his got no confidence, doesnt seem interested and has lost pace. It is time for you fans to take the rose coloured glasses off and admit that him and Gerrard are offering NOTHING to the team as things stand.

It's time for you to stop commenting on games you haven't watched. How many games have you watched us play this season?
Like I said, Gerrard has been our BEST player this season. By a country mile.
Torres is looking poor, but he is still showing flashes of brilliance and is definitely still offering something. Don't be daft.

Has anyone else noticed that Torres has turned to bollocks as soon as he cut his hair.
Looks like Torres has got the Liverpool treatment (just like Kewell). Fantastic and gifted player, Loved in the first two seasons by fans. Then Poor liverpool doctors and we will win he title next year syndrome has reduced his performance both physically and mentally. He looks so slow now, injuries have really taken its toll and you can see when he plays he looks totally dejected.
Torres is Gown. Like i said should of sold him. Now what will u get for him 30-40 million instead of 60 or 70. Gerrard should have been sold for 30 mill. Too old now (31?), i guess he feels like absolute shit now, they came so close to the title and now you are spared last place only on GD. Poor Gerrard.
Getting rid of Riise, Alonso and Kewell was a mistake. Fair enough Kewell was often injured but liverpools Wings are pretty dead now and your strikers are getting zero service Either from Midfield (alonso) or the Wings (Kewell).
Should have been
----------------------------------Crouch(sold Well done)---------------------- -------------------Torres---------------------------------------
-----Kewell (Free xfer Well done)------------------Gerrard-------------Cole-----------
-------------------------------Alonso (sold Well done)---------------------------
---------------------I dont care anyone including arbeloa/Riise (who you sold, well done)----------
-----------------------------PEPEPEPEPEPE---------------------------------------

Riise was a complete liability at the end of his Liverpool career, everybody remembers his wonder goals but nobody remembers how shit he was the last 2 years he was at Liverpool... Kewell was fine to go, we actually did offer a contract a pay as you play but he rejected it, we weren't going to do our money again on him... Alonso is a different altogether we all knew he was going to be a massive loss... I'd say Crouch sale was a major mistake, which has left us rather flat up front when Keane was jetisoned after 6 months, he was never replaced because he was a replacement for Crouch, pretty much meaning we're lacking a striker Quote: The best thing that happened when Newcastle were relegated is that we didn't hear about Newcastle for 12 months Quote:Quite few of your games. It is time for you to take of your red glasses and realise that Torres and Gerrard are not protected species and are both playing like crap. I agree, Gerrard hasn't played great, but he's been the best of a very bad bunch... so i don't think you can single out players when everybody is playing rubbish and it isn't like Rooney at United where it's an individual completely out of form when it's a whole squad Quote: Gerrard should have been sold for 30 mill. Too old now (31?) Frank Lampard is older so your argument about age is null and void all these arguements that Gerrard and Torres should have been sold are deluded because that would mean we wouldn't be able to attract any high quality players to come to Liverpool, players such as Jovanovic and Cole have spoken that it was one of the main reasons why they joined Liverpool so they could play with those two... how are Liverpool going to attract players without those players and people forget that that cash in the summer probably wouldn't have gone to the transfer kitty but to paying off RBS loans

Torres at his prime (at liverpool) + Gerrard 30 million. Over 100 (including the shit that you bought) million to spend on quality players. Proper 20 million dollar rated midfields/defenders. Not basement buys and free xfers. You had the opportunity to buy so man players with quality. Manchester city has so much quality they dont need and are willing to sell. Adebayor, Wright Phillips, Lescott, RIchards. Thats manchester city alone. Instead. You buy a past it Joe cole and Konchesky. Lol. Who are not even good enough to replace the quality that has left liverpool. Anyway whats done is done. You cant change that. One thing is certain. You need to sell torres and put in a significant amount of investment in the striker and midfield department. Sell torres + another 50 million to spend. and you have 100 million to revamp liverpool. But again any club can be revamed with 100 million lol. Sorry but. Maxi is rubbish and is way way past his prime. Kuyt is very average. Lucas? LOL. Joe cole, not the same since his major injury. Where are strikers to support torres? Not there. Defenders> average. Torres dejected and demoralised. Gerrard Dejected and demoralised. Atm Liverpool are a mid table side at best. Quote: New Liverpool owner John Henry & NESV to spend 'wisely' Liverpool's new owner John Henry has warned he will not throw money at the club in a bid to solve their problems. Henry, whose NESV group sealed a £300m takeover on Friday, watched the Reds slip to 19th in the Premier League with Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Everton. "I don't have 'Sheikh' in front of my name," said the American, referring to Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour. "When we spend a dollar, it has to be wisely. We can't afford contracts that do not make long-term sense." He added: "We have to be smart, bold, aggressive." The takeover of Liverpool by Henry's New England Sports Ventures (NESV) eliminated the acquisition debt placed on the club by previous owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett. But on-field troubles persist and the derby loss at Goodison Park leaves Roy Hodgson's side second-bottom of the English top flight with only six points from their opening eight games and a goal difference of minus six. Key players such as Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres have struggled for form, while summer signings Joe Cole, Christian Poulsen, Raul Meireles and Paul Konchesky have yet to make an impact. Off the pitch, meanwhile, funding issues have delayed the start of work on Liverpool's proposed 60,000-seater stadium in Stanley Park. But despite the club's current plight, Henry has refused to give assurances over transfer budgets or plans for the new stadium. "What am I thinking? How much work this is going to be. How steep the learning curve is going to be. This is not going to be easy," said the 61-year-old, whose company NESV also owns the Boston Red Sox baseball franchise. "We realise the challenge that lies ahead if we are going to go toe-to-toe with the other big clubs. We are not asking for a long honeymoon. This is a contact sport we are in and the going can get rough sometimes. We realise that. "We are not going to make any promises but we are going to listen and consider." NESV, Liverpool and their major creditors Royal Bank of Scotland were accused of an "epic swindle" by Hicks, claiming the club had been severely undervalued. Henry, whose history with the Red Sox suggests there will be significant investment to come over the coming months, denied that was the case. And although he may not have access to the same level of funds as City's owners, the Abu Dhabi United Group , he plans to make money and not waste it on interest payments as the previous owners did. "There were big financial issues but in the end we made a decision we really wanted to compete at this level," Henry told the Liverpool Echo. "I know some people are saying this was a cheap price. There is no way we look at this as a cheap price for this club. "When we arrived at the Red Sox, the New York Yankees were a juggernaut and it wasn't that much of a rivalry. I believe we turned it into a rivalry where we have gone toe-to-toe with the Yankees even though they have got a much higher revenue. They keep going up but we have gone up faster. "The revenue potentials around the world - it is a global football club - and especially with the financial fair play rules, it is really going to be revenue that drives how good your club can be in the future. "That is one thing that we think we are good at." NESV is backed by 17 investors and Henry stated: "I don't think any thinking individual buys a sports franchise these days - or an English football club - to make money. "Maybe a few, but they should have their head examined. It's about competing at the highest level in the world's largest sport for us, that's why we are here." On Monday, Henry and fellow co-owner Tom Werner met with local MPs and supporters' groups to discuss their plans for the club. "It was great to finally get to work," said Henry. "We met with supporters' group. No, we didn't give any assurances. We are here to listen and to learn from them and we learned a lot today. "I think the biggest issue was a sense of disenfranchisement and their sense of not being part of their own and that is what we discussed. This was a big first step today." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/l/liverpool/9103269.stm

Aside from that, every player in your list (aside from maybe Adebayor) gets regular game time there anyway. But you have to accept, that if I believe I know more about a situation than you involving my club, I am going to present my argument to you to show that. I'm not flinging abuse at you, I'm genuinely trying to show you what I believe to be the truth.
