The worst bit about that game, at the next full moon Ivanovic will turn into a demented were-Suarez.
That second half was literally Suarez vs. Suarez. Great assist to Sturridge, what the fuck handball in the box, the hunger on Ivanovic, and the last second goal.

Quite surprised him and the club have gone on the front foot and admitted it. Fair play to them, have to wait for the FA now.
On the incident though, it's sad when it's not a surprise, he was doing so well, scoring goals, making all the right headlines, it was only time before he went and did something stupid.
Have to aceept that bad headlines are going to come his way.

No surprise at all considering it's not the first time he's bitten an opponent. Don't really know what the fuck is wrong with him that makes him think biting someone is a good thing to do.

i can't see how the fa won't ban him for less than a season. last time he bit someone he got 7 weeks suspension.
this is a repeat offence. and the offence is something that technically he could infect (or be infected) with a blood transmitted disease such as hiv/aids if one of the two were infected already. it's absolutely outrageous.
i hope he never plays for liverpool again. i can't see how they would even remotely stand by him for this action. if they don't fire him, it's an outrage.

Would have to be his last game for Liverpool you would think. He will get the rest of the season at least, probably a few games into next.
And you can tell by Rodgers interview, that he is not worried and that a new player will always come along, the club has to let him go, just not worth it.
I really felt for Rodgers after the game in those interviews.

Think about it. liverpool pride themselves on their history, ethics, morales etc. that's all they've got to keep them in high spirits after the last few years of poorness on-field. if they stand by suarez, they lose total respect from everyone. so then they'll be left with: (1) still shit results on-field (2) no respect (3) a player that's probably suspended for a year

Alternatively they sit him down and tell him if anything like that happens again he'll be out. Man United stuck with Eric Cantona despite his indiscretions...

If it is the case and he didn't uphold the expected (and agreed) code of conduct then he should be shown the door. If not, then he should consider this his first and last warning. Like Cantona and Zidane, a brilliant player but a hot head who lacks emotional discipline at times. If he goes, I would be interested to see if they try luring Torres back to a club that is more stable than the one he left for Chelsea- and Liverpool would get him for a lot less than Chelsea bought him for. The Evra remark, the handshake, they were the main ones, but then his antics on the pitch were bad, in fairness to him, that did improve this season and he was making the right headlines and could have won the player of the year but surely this puts him out of the running.

Sturrige seems to be doing well but I don't think LFC can lose Suarez and push forward into next season.

There's nothing to defend but disappointment and anger...took away from the result and now last games will be a lottery losing our point man and scorer as we all know. Thrown a big spanner in the works for next season as if thats not new for us in recent years.

Man United stuck with Eric Cantona despite his indiscretions... Pretty much agree with this. BusbyBabe wrote:AJohn wrote:I don't see Liverpool axing Suarez.
But fuck sometimes it's hard to defend him. Rodgers pretty much accepted that he will be going. Disagree, the clip Fox keeps playing don't really show the full context. I think there's a slight chance that he'll go, yes. But I hardly think it's a foregone conclusion. Nobody is trying to defend him for this incident, but I also don't think it's something that will cause the club to totally abandon him. On the game, glad to get the draw. First goal was excellent. Sturridge substitution was exactly what we needed. Another great display from Carra. Don't want him to retire :(

I understand that is just a clip and I don't know what he was asked that led to that but you can just tell, he knows that the time has come. If they can cash in, why not get rid of him? Yes he scored goals this season and is a great player, but Rodgers talks about how honest he is and talks about the ethics and morals of the club, if he sticks to that, I don't see how they keep him to be honest. However, I don't know how many clubs will be lining up for him with the baggage he brings.

You don't abandon the player that's kept you out of the bottom half of the table no matter how much of a dick he is. How many times did you lot hit the bloody post? It's like it was magnetised for a while there. Edited by benelsmore: 22/4/2013 11:44:43 AM
