I am so disappointed that didn't go in, that would have been a just way for Carra to bow out.

Captain Haddock wrote:That rendition of YNWA in stoppage time was epic... I must admit I shed a tear during that time - so sad when a long term stayer has to go. Yes that shot if only it shifted a fraction right soso fitting, how was the crowd reaction loved it. Amazing to see whilst Carra playing his last game and Ibe's debut was impressive to say the least ! good on you kid I liking what I saw.

Jordon Ibe showed some promise but he was up and down. But he needs to go out on loan for first team experience. He's not going to get that at Liverpool any time soon.

Now we must look forward to next season. If we keep Suarez, our attack would be very dangerous indeed. Coutinho, Suarez, and Sturridge, with Sterling as backup. Fantastic.

As well as Borini. We need to make some changes to defence and more depth in midfield though. And another striker wouldn't exactly hurt.

What's been organised in terms of Carra's testimonial? Was talking about it the other night with a mate, and Carra+Owen vs Beckham+Scholes would be absolutely unreal!

There are reports on skysports that Liverpool and West Ham have agreed to a fee for Andy Carroll.

For 15m they're getting ripped off something shocking. Good show.

We're being very strongly linked Kyriakos Papadopoulos. Would love that, tough as nails and a bit of a lunatic  I hope we get him.

Can't say he's not a good defender when fit and playing regularly.
I wouldn't be against it, just depends on wages I guess.

He's 32 and hasn't really been close to being worth taking a chance on for years. Maybe for a mid-table club, but certainly not for a club with ambitions to get into the Champions League.

I don't think he'd be a regular but for an experienced head in the backline it's not a bad idea.
If it was my decision I wouldn't sign him but if BR thinks it's needed I trust him.

ROFL liverpool fans, I said a few pages back that you should chase Kolo. Yet you all scoffed at it? hahaha http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-fc-transfer-rumour-mill-3902611

Kolo's alright. He doesnt have a problem at all with being on the bench and playing 3rd fiddle.
Would love Papado.... the Greek one so much.

Tall, strong, young, vocal defender. Exactly what we need to play next to Agger. And for the rumoured 15m that's a quality deal.

There's a HEAP going on and that's just with what we've had confirmed by club members.
We know they've had an offer for Reina but valuations were far removed. We know that they're looking for an experienced CB to replace Carra. We know that they're looking for a commanding CB to come in. We know Andy Carroll is on the way out the door.
And the window isn't even open yet.
Sidebar, if a deal is struck for Reina, who do we replace him with? Do you gamble on a smaller name player who could be in a purple patch like Vorm? Or do we look overseas?

Zieler's ex-United. They can keep him. Begovic I don't rate.

I don't get why everyone's so hung up on Butland. The guy hasn't even played a premier league game yet! Fuck, I'd rather we went for Mitch Langerak than bloody Butland.
Personally I'd rather see us looking at someone like Vivano or Vermeer.
Hell, if you insist on going young Bernd Leno had a blinder of a season at Leverkusen, it's his second year starting and he'd set us back about 10-12m.

If we were going to sign a keeper it's because Reina's departed. Butland's too young and inexperienced to be starting for a side harbouring top 4 ambitions. Plus it has the potential to backfire spectacularly.
No, given a choice between Stoke's keepers I'd take Begovic. That said, I don't want either.

Skrtel has said he would seriously consider a move if an offer comes in.
Re: the whole keeper situation - I feel like Reina's hesitance to move might cause some issues. Either you'll be stuck with him, or the club will accept a "too good to refuse"

Better than the Assaidi deal at any rate.

Papa had a fitness test on his knee by liverpool Docs but did not pass. Still has some minor issues with it. That said they are still keen on him as he is with Liverpool. Further tests to be done in the next fortnight. Have no link but in touch with a very very good friend of his.
