There will be tears at the end of the match  Just like Sami's farewell.
Shame about Stevie. Glad he's proved the doubters wrong, those who thought he was past it. He's been excellent this season, one of our best.
I think we'll see Shelvey come in for Gerrard... either that or he'll move Hendo back to CM.

Hendo's been good in the middle this season. So Sturridge up top, Sterling on the left, Coutinho in the hole, Downing on the right and Lucas and Hendo in the middle?

We've got nothing to play for so I'd like to see some of the backup brigade given a bit of a chance.
Would love to see more Borini, lets give Skrtel a chance to redeem himself, and give Wisdom and SHelvey another run. Sterlings' still got a pulled hammy or some niggling injury doesn't he?

How is Martin Kelly's fitness? It'd be nice to see him back in the first team.

I'm really sorry SG isn't playing the last game at home with Carra, infact more so that SG has had a strong season and his fantasic long balls will be missed putting us in a great attacking position. The way we played the derby was very disappointing imo and even qpr scares me last game the roller coaster form we keep producing. Anyway hope we turn for the better next game and gain more confidence for Carra's farewell

Dagger is also out for the rest of the season. Skrtel will probably come back in.

Do you think Sterling is a first eleven player now after the arrival of Sturridge and Coutinho?

You forgot Suarez. So our best possible line up right now, with injuries and everything considered, is Reina Johnson - Skrtel - Carragher - Enrique Lucas - Henderson Downing - Coutinho - Borini/Suso Sturridge Oh dear. What happened to Assaidi?!

What a player - his vision to slot the ball is superb and his touch all class. Going to cause some real damage next season, good pre season coming up under his belt he sure will be ready, great buy ! Damn Sturridge hat trick - I had my doubts about him at first and had bitched of his lack of judgement not giving the ball instead of pulling the trigger wherever he sure is coming on.

Sturridge is really starting to click with our offence but let's not jinx it. Quote:So... Inter Milan don't sell good players? All I said at the start of the season was that we needed to aim a liiiiiiiiiiittle higher than Assaidi and spend that little bit more. We make the move for Coutinho and look what it's done for us.

I'll be honest, I remain quietly optimistic about next season. I'm not expecting much, but with a lot of the top teams changing managers, Rooney likely leaving Scumchester United, and the mere prescence of Coutinho....
But let's not get carried away.

Its been what, 4 seasons now?   I kid, Arsenal are no better  Came in here to post how sexy the football you play is at times these days under Rodgers. Sturridge has been a great signing, but still needs to cut his apparent selfishness out of his game.

I don't have a problem with his selfishness, every good striker needs to be. I just wish he had more common sense. Sidenote, this is hitting me right in the feels. One game left...

Reminds me of Zenden with Sunderland, just shouldn't even try it. In saying that Sturridge shouldn't even be doing that

Sometimes it's better to have that guy who wants to pull the trigger than have the team passing the ball around the box because nobody's game to take the chance. I think he just needs a little more time to build chemistry with his teammates and develop a little more awareness of them.

The post-game footage and photos are going to be immense. I'm feeling a little emotional too.
Such a big day for Jordon Ibe too, making his first team debut in Jamie Carragher's last game.

There can't have been more than 2-3cm's between that and a goal. He'd be spewing!

That rendition of YNWA in stoppage time was epic...
