I dunno about Sissoko, he was alright, his distribution wasn't the best but Mascher really put him pale in comparison, we did make abit of a profit for him mind you... Itandje was like wtf, Benitez bought these reserve keepers and bought all these youth keepers when we've got a world class keeper who 'should' be there for a fair while, when he bought Cavileri it made no sense to me, just wasting money. Dossena was a big fail but the really annoying thing was that you just knew it wasn't going to work, the translation of italian players to the prem is just awful.

RAUL: Why I want a Kop Goal.

Raul Meireles has spoken of his desire to get his first goal in a red shirt in the very near future.

While a team victory will always mean more to him than personal glory, the Portugal international has been getting closer and closer to finding the net in recent weeks.

A stunning long-range effort for his country in Iceland during the last international break showed he is capable of scoring spectacular goals, and Liverpool's No.4 has vowed to carry on shooting in his quest for a debut strike.

"I had some opportunities to score against Blackburn including a great chance in the first half, but the most important thing for me is the team and the victory," Meireles told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"I would like to score my first goal for Liverpool and feel the joy of the fans.

"It is always a special feeling to score a goal and to do it for Liverpool, especially at Anfield, would be a fantastic moment.

"I do like to try a shot from distance during a game and it's something I feel comfortable with it.

"The goal I scored against Iceland was a bit lucky but hopefully I can get one for Liverpool soon."

Torres was crap for large periods, but showed some epic skills towards the end, and essentially won it. Showing glimpes. He'll be back.

He still looks of the pace and devoid of confidence. however, was it just me or did Torres improve dramatically when N'Gog came on? I thought some of their link up play was really good. Perhaps it's time to try two up front? It might take some of the pressure and burden off Torres, which, in turn might result in improved confidence. Just a thought
