CH, I can understand losing faith through our woeful periods, it sure was challenging for I got up for every game and watching those soft goals get through us was very painful and losing @ Anfield on the trot many times was like being in a nightmare when do I wake up from this. The 2-1 win vs Villa had given alot of hope but following was the 1-1 draw with Leeds showed the wobbilies again and following was that Toon 95min equaliser and thought we're done. Southampton game win lit a spark, then the manc protest, Foxs doing them and us winning at OT the fuse was lit. We looked like the team we were prior Christmas rest is history. Funny around my football circles the mention was of GK of the year, in jest towards me Pickford was mentioned, too right, that game put the dagger in us big time. So fitting seeing them fall down the ladder/wheels falling off into the abyss - karma is a wonderful thing ! Mo not getting GB has been vindicated by Villareal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ole ole ole :) Finishing 3rd in our shit storm season has never felt this good.

to keep moving along....., How sad watching Gini rip it during the Euros, still can't believe we've let him go And I've seen reports interest in players near on his age, like wtf LFC. Phillips has interest from Newcastle, Southampton and in particular Brighton and Burnley, will force Liverpool’s hand in that regard and rightly so, he's stood up for us in need, we should keep him imo. $12M ish. Young Neco Williams has interest from Burnley and Southampton also among those interested in the right-back. $10M ish. Makes you wonder what their thinking. ROI Minamino out of Japanese Olympic squad and resting up, looks like Klopp wants to see how he goes during pre season. Salah and Konate maybe in their NT Olympic squads, hope not. Surely were shifting Origi. OX do we don't we, I think shift too injury prone lets get some fresh blood. Shaqiri, I'm staggered we shift him as well when you see what he can do in the Euro once again. Buggered if we can tell what is going to happen. Kudos to our boys in the Euros, Hendo getting a run after injuries, Robbo, done so well gave it his all, mentioned Gini Shaqiri, Neco

Off season. Things are pretty quiet new signings wise I guess due to Euro but now finished, things will start now..... Thankfully we already bought a young new CB contender, 22yrs Konate looks very promosing welcome to LFC. Still waiting on who's going apart from Gini to PSG. I expect our boys who have been in Euro's/Copa will get some rest and ready to go soon. Friendly's announced all around the Austria training base Klopp likes. - July 20 – vs. FC Wacker Innsbruck (5pm BST) and VfV Stuttgart (5.45pm) – 30 minute mini-games behind-closed-doors
- July 23 – vs. FSV Mainz 05 (5.15pm)
- July 29 – vs. Hertha BSC (7.20pm)
New strip came out sometime ago,the V kind of collar has gone back to a std round one, white highlights replaced by a kind of matt orange.

Countdown to season start upon us, weekend after this its systems GO EPL and LFC. Watched a few of our warm up games - so many players used as normal, Kloppy watching closely. Such a welcome return seeing VVD/Gomez back on the park - slowly slowly. Impressed by Konate so far, looks strong as and reading play well. Tsimikas has looked more settled and sharp. Young Elliott looking sharp as well, I expect he to be used more like Klopp blooded in Jones. A few youth players were used, sent home now being near on all Snr 1st players start training this week after Euros/breaks.

and so the season kicked off ! A visit to the Caneries promoted again and playing them 1st up as happenned couple of seasons ago. Crowds back hooray though in their favour it was tread lightly for some time. An interesting line up being first game. Huge welcome back VVD ! Robbo injured so the Greek Scouse took on LB. He wasn't too bad but for some obvious easy errors, his cross's at times didn't find us - he needs to learn alot more yet but sound enough against the Canaries, he'll have to improve when used against stringer opponents. You can see VVD loves playing with Matip, he looked more mobile actually Matip. They got behind us a few times for Pukki is a good runner between the CB's, he made us pay couple of seasons ago. Overall VVD even without match fitness had us looking covered with ease. Just so damn nice having him back. Klopp giving Keita/Ox alot of time to prove themselves with the pre season - they are looking better, especially Keita. Took a while to click but with the front 3 of Mane/Salah/Jota something got to give sooner or later. Jota strikes when we really needed to show our authority. TAA was pumping in some usual great cross's. What a 10/10 game from Mo, the guy is a legend, 5th season in a row scoring opening game, a record. His running/passing/skill is so impeccable - the touch of control and then shot into the top LH corner was to die for and typical Mo. His assist for Bobby when on. Trying to provide for Sadio. You can see he's in his element. Fabs came on later. Thankyou very much what a great start fellas. We still have Thiago/Gomez/konate/Minna/Jones/Elliot etc to get a run. Burnley @ Anfield next, KOP will be full how sweet it will be and make amends for last years loss.

How sweet it is having a Anfield full house and wasn't it chilling watching the boys come out to YNWA ! Good move having Burnely wait on their own for a mo. Brought tears to my eyes and so fitting since the title win, followed by the challeging title defense.....VVD back and all. My how the rules have changed for this season. I like a tuff tackle and all BUT damn some of the stuff Wood but more so Barnes was beyond a joke ! Not 1 yellow throught he whole game. Young Elliott on debut sure got a welcome, thankfully survived and damn showed what to expect from him in the future, I used to marvel at young Jonesy I think Harvey has that little bit more to contribute....... Burnley as usual are a tuff nut to crack and we still never got that fluent at times but when we did especially the goals was copybook LFC. Tsimikas provided as good assit for Jotas nice glance into the net But he isn't consistant enough and I'm Kloppy sees that. Be glad when Robbo gets back in the start line up. Mo's offside goal I was in raptures to only go as usual due to VAR ohhhh arghhhhh. 100 goals not far away. Even though our midfield wasn't clicking that well overall I was watching glimpse's of the LFC pre VVD out, what that guy gives in presence alone is GOLD and Matip we just look much stronger again. No Fabs might I add. What a team goal was Sadio's, VVD's distribution, TAA's perfect flick for Sadio's perfectly strike first time ! Overall a sound strong win, typically many chances unanswered (we need to improve our strike rate) but you'll take 3points this way everyday. Great to see Hendo back my captain o my captain. Cap it off nice to see that other mob draw. Great test next home game vs's Chelsea.

I'm sorry seeing the Shaq gone, knew it was coming and he deserves being in a start up line up but he just couldn't break through ours especially playing the Klopp way. Mind you he had some brilliant moments, Thanks for your time with us Shaq. So great to have EPL back and its was exciting to see a full Elland Rd crowd for I was confident we were gonna give them a game. We let them have a couple of close chances early on but once we gained control it was all us to the 30min mark. They couldn't contain Mo so it was rapping arms around him countless times and others the ref should have closed this behaviour down very early in the game. We dominated and once again TAA delivers a beautiful low hard cross and MO angles it in for his 100th goal ! How sweet is was. frustrating we should have been 3/4 nil up before HT, we missed a couple of sitters. Upon resumimng we again pushed and box scramble Fabinho puts one away 50min mark, were in control. Leeds have been playing rugby all game. Young Harvey who has been showing so much promise @ 18yrs then gets taken down badly !!!! poor kid you could see in massive pain. Game stopped, Kloppy saw his ankle was way out of shape, VAR checks and its Red for Struijk. FFS here we go again losing a good player for the season, dislocated ankle - read physios on the pitch put it back in position. All the best Hervey with your rehab. After that the game went to crap. Sadio finally finishs off the countless attempts he had in the game. 3points but what a loss re Harvey.

I didn't get a good enough look at the tackle on Harvey and they didn't show any replays so could only check it out later. I don't think there was malicious intent in the tackle but was definitely a red-card offence. Otherwise started the season well, one of the few teams left undefeated (even after 4 rounds) so hopefully unlike last season LFC have a minimal casualty ward.

Touch wood we have a better run on injuries this season CH. I feel were lacking on top quality from the bench if so but Klopp sure knows how to plug the holes when in need. Hope we do something in Jan. MCG yes Woodburn is a good prospect, been in the academy since 7yrs old. Hope he does well in the SPL. We have had a good run on developing some credible up and comers for sometime, something not mentioned enough imo.

What a Fn 1st CL game at home vs Milan. Loved the rotation Klopp had done, the lineup had me happy. What a start the first 20mins, Mo miss's the pen that I couldn't believe for his conversion rate has been brilliant - 2up would hav ebeen nice BUT we should have could have scored 2/3 more and alas that gave Milan time to settle finally and get some ball control. 2 counters that you could see coming ffs. I mean the stats so stacked in our favour we were looking brilliant to allow those 2 goals in was so out of order but well taken by them. Thankfully we came out of the blocks and scored quick time at the re start, MO MO MO yes - Origi assist, he finally impressed being in the start line up I was happy for him but in the end he had to come off due to injury. I'll never forget us pumping them and corner after corner and defending one the ball comes out of the box perfectly for Hendo to hit first time ! and how sweet that was their keeper didn't even get a chance to look it it went in that fast and close the the post. What a goal and glad for his celebration our Captain, and the 3-2 lead. We should have put them away with that much control and possesion but they dug in give em that. Great start 3points and the Atleti Porto draw is a bonus.

What brilliant rotation of the squad....... Got to say when I first saw it pre koff and how palace have lifted a level a new backline had me worried. Been a long time no Robbo TAA for starters and Milli up against Saha but having VVD is always re assuring and was looking forward to Konate's debut. The first 10odd mins was worrying, it was all over the shop and Saha nearly got one in. A high charged game and once we settled you could see it was falling into place. Kudos to Milli handling Saha barring a few times but what a job done. Konate had a testing start but settled in so well as the game went on, his challenge on Benteke chrging into the box was top shelf, this kid gonna be good for us. Tsimikas has a great delivery and like Robbo loves being a attacking LB but his defense isn't there yet. Fabinho, what a brilliant role he plays for us, his coverage, defense, vision is top class. Hendo, he just keeps getting better imo, his leadership is 2nd to none, his movement is superb and ball work. Starting to see Thaigo being more valuable for us, what class. Jota just didn't click today, that terrible miss in front said it all. MO/Mane are firing and thats what we need, so glad they are, Mane 100th LFC goal love it. Allison, MOTM for me, nothign like having a keeper that good ! Our goals were special might I add, Mane's opportunity the angle, MO's stealth quick strike and Naby's surblind volley from edge of the box. We should have had a few more, palace have stepped up, it was exciting and on the edge stuff to watch all game.

I can see Palace taking points off at least one top 6 contender away from home this season so glad to get them out of the way earlier with another comfy win despite the nervous start. Don't know why, but the past two weeks' games have gone by really quickly. I looked up at the time left during the first half, it was 30 minutes in and felt like we'd only been watching 15 minutes of football. Same as the second half, couldn't believe how quickly the 80th minute mark was passed.

agreed action packed all game. Frantic pace and tbh we know palace has been a bogey game over the years I was worried a number of times but then so relieved how we got in the right place and time. Someone got a foot or body in the way and better still Alli read the game brilliantly. Was sure they were gonna score in a corner but we won them. 4th game coming up in 9days tomorrows EFL vs Norwich. Whole diff line up, bench/fringe and youth for sure. I'll be keen to see young Gordon if in. We'll be lining up against Kabak !

Not since '83 had we faced Brentford, a Cup game. https://www.thisisanfield.com/2021/09/when-liverpool-slipped-into-overdrive-on-record-setting-brentford-night/Interesting seeing the old press on that clash. Here they are promoted in PL they must be so chuffed (supporters especially) and might I add doing alright as most promotoed clubs do of late. 2 wins 2 draws 1 loss early days but I've watched a couple of their games, fighting squad and playing at home will make it for great atmosphere and tensions. Look forward who's in our starting line up and lets go fellas !

Well visiting Brentford didn't surprise me we had a game to play..... Something about newly promoted clubs hosting mainstay Clubs and we always seem to struggle these games. They got over us with long balls and targeted us wide. Some last ditch efforts saved a number of their chances and a big wake up call for us. In saying that we should have taken more of our chances and we wouldn't have been in a draw. Kudos to Jotas aerial prowess, what a goal and MO delivering his 100th PL goal what a star. So happy for Curtis for if it wasn't for injuries he wouldnt be in the start line up right now. It would have been great taking 3points whilst our rivals didn't barring City but a point is a point and Bobby is fit again. Next up CL game away to Porto.

well despite our form against Porto I actually was expecting them to lift this game to try change the tide But having Pepe out very late before koff put us in a damn good start and that it did....... Pretty much a expected strong starting line up for LFC barring TAA out Milli steps in at RB. Once settled we were openning them up with great link play. After many raids into their box after a good angled shot from Curtis not held by their keeper who's there to poke it in ? MOOOOOOOOOOO ! 18th min. Not long after we had a free kick just out of the box Hendo puts in a beautyheading for the top right corner that the keeper got his hand to guide over the cross bar. (Hendo 400th appearance for LFC might I add congrats) Just before HT Milli down the right flank cross's right past all for Sadio to touch it in going in with a 2nil lead. Sweet as. Come around 60th min Curtis attacks towards their box pass's across to MO unmarked who does what MO usually does, past the keeper for his double 3nil. After that they had a good counter down our left and have to say I thought oh no but for Alli to cover a very nice move and shot by Porto. Robbo made a great run around their RB finding Jota who could have put it away but his shot goes off target. Following they had built up a good raid down our right with a nice cross and beautifully met taken header into our net :( Gomez you weren't goal side mate. 3-1. Kloppy made some changes - Ox and Bobby come on. Within moments Curtis just past halfway floats a ball up to their last man and Bobby, Bobby wins the ball and reads the keeper is miles out of his area takes a swing ball heading for an open goal with the keeper racing before it cross's the goal line, too late mate by this much GOAL 4-1. Unreal and how good to see such a convincing team win but one more before FT. Robbo bops a free kick into their box ball is headed out to find Curtis who has a swing and the ball hits their defender to fall right next to Bobby who slots it away nicley - BUT wait gone to VAR, a long wait and finally given a double for Bobby coming from the bench love it 5-1 ! Wonderful nights these and have to say MOTM was Curtis, for 20yrs and a away CL game on you lad. Could only imagine what Harvey would have done to them. With PSG putting away City and this win makes for a huge one coming up in the League this weekend.

WTF ! what a game...... 1st half I thought oh o we are struggling to win ball, we're 2nd best they were that fraction quicker faster in everything but somehow we kept them out, just. We also just didn't have any sync that was strange to see. Milli was being cooked by Foden and Grealish - that tbh I wasn't surprised - those 2 young guys are damn skilful and quick. Alli was the man a number of times. Our key front boys hardly had the ball. Couldn't wait for HT and still being 0-0 was a godsend. I knew we'd come out better for the 2nd after some Kloppi preaching. City were still looking good but we did step up the gear finally. A 59th minute counter that went off perefectly was a joy to watch and Mane's finish across Ederson was like games 2seasons back. We're back the tonic we needed. 1-0. It wasn't surprising they would hit back, the game was going mad - what a 2nd half you we're on the edge of the seat @ 4am this morn I was loving it. Bloody Foden, he likes playing against us 1-1. WTF can you say about MO and his individual brillance, beating like 5/6 defenders through their box and then with the right boot hard across Ederson was a goal of the ages for us LFC supporters. FFS it was surblind 2-1. I was starting to believe we got this and could get another anytime soon but again City showed what a friggin good squad they are - DeBruyne's shot was good and Alli had it covered ! but for Matips defensive nature trying to get in its way but deflect towards and in our net :( 2-2. Look they were unlucky and so were we, Fabs had a sitter but to be denied, thats defense of a top team. I'll take the draw but whoa it would have been great to nab those 3points. Only Team now after 7games undefeated, 3draws already mind you, can't complain.

Well EPL re starts this this weekend and one ownders what our line up will be with a number of players on international duty going to miss this first game of the round of ours. Alli/Fabs definately out due to covid travels rules. TAA/Thiago still out injured I expect. Curtis/Jota niggling injuries. Lets hope our other NT boys come up sweet. Possible line up Kelleher; Milner, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Keita; Salah, Mane, Firmino Not too bad against Watford above.

what a way to kick off the round over the weekend and what a statement...... Despite the many missing we dominated and played so well. Onya BOBBY for the hat trick so deserved, Slahs pass for Mane's goal and finish was textbook brilliant flowing play. What more can be said of our Egyptian King, his start to this season needs bottling, his footwork/skill and finish is surblind and hope many young up coming players follow his lead. Man o man can't wait for next weeks game at OT. They are going to step up no doubt about against us, hope our boys keep Ronaldo at bay and not score. The match ups all over the park are going to be great.

Mo has to be the #1 player in the world right now. Hopefully he further states his case this coming weekend. Out of interest, if I'm considering getting tickets for fixtures around December/ January who would be the best point of contact?

yes fellas Mo is the stand out player period at this stage of the season over all the comps..... His individual brilliance has gone up another level and general play, the MCity goal and this in traffic was messi like easily. He should have got player of the month no matter of ronaldo's re appearance in the epl last time. If he doesn't get goal of the year I'll be blown IF any are better. Oh yes I hope so much we perform as we've had of late next week, MO spinning their backs around will be so good to watch and Mane beast them and Bobby's little flicks/turns etc..... there is something something about the start of this season....... Atleti are one of the hardest to play and to score 3 away goals with a scrappy performance says alot about our Klopp/LFC. They haven't lost a Euro game for 4yrs at home - in the big picture that huge ticker from us. Hope our recovery goes well mind you united game is our Monday am.
