It is quite funny though you drooling over Kenny when 3 years ago Kev was to out of touch with the game to help Newcastle. The irony. Tis sandwich worthy.
Besides i'm baggin Liverpool, I like Kenny ;)

Edited by guest: 13/1/2011 01:10:00 AM Convenient that you forgot the following: Celtic * Scottish First Division (4) o 1972, 1973, 1974, 1977 * Runner up (1) o 1976 * Scottish Cup (4) o 1972, 1974, 1975, 1977 * Runner up (1) o 1973 * Scottish League Cup (1) o 1975 * Runner up (5) o 1972, 1973, 1974, 1976, 1977 [edit] Liverpool * Football League First Division (6) o 1979, 1980, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1986 * Runner up (3) o 1978, 1985, 1987 * FA Cup (1) o 1986 * League Cup (4) o 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984 * Runner up (2) o 1978, 1987 * Charity Shield (5) o 1980, 1981, 1983, (Shared): 1978, 1987 * Runner up (2) o 1984, 1985 * European Cup (3) o 1978, 1981, 1984 * Runner up (1) o 1985 * European Super Cup (1) o 1978 * Runner up (1) o 1979 * Intercontinental cup * Runner up (2) o 1982, 1985 Just a few dozen trophies there. Moreover, Kevin Keegan has won approximately dick-all in his career as manager compared to Kenny Dalglish. Kenny has a proven track record, more than just a record transfer budget (at the time) at his disposal. Add to that, Keegan had been out of the game for three years, and hadn't won an actual title in fifteen years. Dalglish has been working behind the scenes at Anfield for the last two years. Also, he's considered to be one of the all-time greats of football. Something that will never be said of Keegan. Edited by afromanGT: 13/1/2011 01:26:11 AM

No Gerrard for Liverpool but no Cahill for Everton. Wonder is Saha is going to play like he did last week?

He didn't do anything to warrant a red card aagainst your mob and Pardew pulled him off eventually to stop it happening. Probably the best DM in the league atm.

Foul on Modric 2 mins before Kaboul was sent off, if you think that wasn't a foul, feel free to colsult the rule book. Also, tackle on Kaboul was only acceptable because Kaboul jumped out of the way, it was a studs up slide tackle and missed the ball completely. Newcastle dodged a bullet there. Tiote best passer in the league? I'm sure many people would disagree there.

Hi guys, I just checked the thread title and it appears to read "King Kenny's Golden Sky. (Liverpool Football Club 2010/11)". There's no mention of Newcastle there, so if you want to discuss the Toon or the impending shitness of Tiote, kindly fuck off and do it in an appropriate thread.
I can't say we've played a 'bad' game under Kenny yet. But there are nuances of his tactics that are letting us down. Our defence is missing a leader something shocking. Carra may be losing his pace, but his presence is priceless.

Disappointing result after a promising start. Very odd team selection too. Was Fabio injured? Very disappointing, and I can't see why, unless he is resting for the derby.
A victory there and all will be forgotten. A loss, however...

I'm not sure why we played Kelly at LB. Should have kept Aurelio and left Johnson on the bench. Unless he picked up a knock in training. Quote:A victory there and all will be forgotten Not by a fucking long shot.

Edited by afromanGT: 13/1/2011 12:15:51 PM Your team isn't good enough to win tight matches anymore and seem to be missing belief. Too much is placed on the shoulders of too few. Thanks for the nice "polite" fuck off btw, go play in traffic.

Thanks for the nice "polite" fuck off btw, go play in traffic. Well that's about the only way you can get through to Guest. So why don't you run along and play in your trophy cabinet? I hear there's plenty of room in there. The team isn't missing belief, they're just lacking leadership (with both Gerrard and Carragher missing) and that shows ten fold. The results haven't come in our last two games, yeah. But we're playing much better than we were under Hodgson for mine, and I think that it's a matter of the lads adjusting to his tactics over the next week or two in training and we'll start to see some changes.

You might be equally the most successful team of all time, but you can only use history so often until it because rediulous. I'm not for dick measuring but Spurs on the up, reds on the down. Should be interesting to see what goes on. Either way i'm glad to see new blood in the top 4, not particularly at Liverpools expense, they're probably the top 4 team i hate the least. I hated watching those yanks ruin your football club and then try and then use the club to try and keep their fortunes with little concern for the clubs future. They should be lined up and shot for what they did to Liverpool. Tactically its interesting to watch Torres play when he doesn't have the best midfield around him. He's a great player and scored a fine goal against Blackpool but he seems a shadow of his former self now that the supply line isn't as strong like all strikers. In a way watching Torres is like watching GCU play Bruce Djite, you find yourself yelling at the 9 other outfield players to get forward and give the poor bugger some assistance. Theres only so much you can do on your own.

 The fact that you all still feel the need to comment about our club says it all.
Nobody expected Kenny to come in and instantly work miracles. Not one Liverpool fan expected that. We were rejoicing because he is a legend of the club and it's great to see him appreciated.
That said, I think our final league position would be better with him than it would be with Roy.
The owners wont fire him. Not even if we are in the relegation zone. They wont.

Quote:You might be equally the most successful team of all time, but you can only use history so often until it because rediulous. YAY FOR MAKING NO SENSE! Quote:They should be lined up and shot for what they did to Liverpool. Not to mention running Texas Rangers into the ground before they were rescued by Jon Daniels. Looks like he's runninng the Dallas Stars into the ground too. There should be criminal charges for people like him. But what can you do? Quote:Tactically its interesting to watch Torres play when he doesn't have the best midfield around him. He's a great player and scored a fine goal against Blackpool but he seems a shadow of his former self now that the supply line isn't as strong like all strikers. Never adequately replacing Alonso has proven to be very costly. Why we never moved for Van Der Vaart I'll never know. He would have made a real difference. Quote:What kind of transfer budget has Kenny got? Undisclosed. Rumours place it anywhere between 30m and 80m. Regardless, 30m should be enough if he uses it in the right way and buys a couple of decent players instead of throwing money at younger players that are just going to get in the way of the development of talents like Suso, Pacheco, Shelvey and Kelly.
