I agree, and id expect Celtic, along with Porto and Benfica to beat City, and obviously UEFA agree with me, otherwise Portugese League would have less spots.

man city would make the cl if they were in the portuguese league. Benfica would finish mid table at best on the epl. now that benfica have lost simao, there main man, they really arent as dangerous.

Benfica regularly make Champions League and are usually very competitive if not successful. Remind me the last time City managed to make it...

If he goes to Melbourne right now, he is not guarenteed anything more than what Patafta got. He was treated like crap, and I think that Rukavytsya would recieve the same treatment. However, with another year with Glory, where he WILL score at least 8 or 9 goals, he might get a training run with Manchester City. His form in the last eight games he played last season was excellent. He scored six goals and provided Perth with a slight glimmer of hope. If he plays like this next season, he has a good chance of scoring over 10 goals for the season, which is far superior to anything Danny Allsopp will be doing, that's for sure.

Apparently training overseas is better than playing in the A-League. You never know, he could score coming off the bench in a Carling Cup game and build from there.

I reckon Patafta woulda had more of a chance of game at Benfica, who are a better team then Man City. Then again Pataftas way better than Ruky...

I doubt Rukavytsya would be stupid enough to go. He knows while he is at Perth he will be getting first team football. I wouldn't be surpised if he went on loan to Man City at the end of next season if he scores a good weight of goals. I also believe he will win the golden boot next season if he plays like he did in the second half of last season.

Dangerous move for both clubs really. They both fit in their own teams well, but switch them and im not sure.

for melbourne it would be fantastic. for perth, ruka and allsop it would be terrible. melbourne will get another decent striker. perth will lose a great young talent. ruka wont get any game time. and allsop wont either and wil be seen as the flop he is

if they prefer allsopp for rukavytsa then they are nuts. allsopp relies on thompson giving him high quality crosses on the deck for him to put away easily, while ruka can get his own goals.

Allsopp's alright but don't know what Ernie sees in him, we're better of getting Ruka. On the other hand, Allsopp would be a better buy than Dragicevic for Perth and he might score a few goals if he has a decent supplier behind him or out wide.
