Had an eye on the India vs England ODI. England scored 325, India nearly fucking got there, 9 runs short. Great game for the neutral.

Watched a bit of that. Couldnt believe Raina has scored 8 fifties vs England alone. and 25 in total.

Then again India do play alot of ODI's

India's player development has become geared towards the shorter forms of the game because that's where all the money is anyway.

New Zealand cricket must be looking forward to the next time they play Bangladesh.

They are missing Ross Taylor, who is arguably their best batsman, but it is still no excuse for their form.

Would every one of our shield sides(without test players) beat NZ at the moment?\

Perhaps in their currant form, that perhaps would be aiming a touch too high. Perhaps they should aim for a non-full time ICC member and play a 3-test series against Ireland, Kenya or Netherlands - heck, I daresay Kenya would give them a run for their money in current form.

Consider the population size, the number of talented players coming though and the immense talent of Vettori, they were always going to put all their eggs in one basket and get dicked.

16 year old Peter Spurling, part of AIS-AFL Academy, 198 cm tall, has done himself no harm in getting drafted in the next couple of years, with an armful of food and refreshments, puts up the big left arm and catches it cleanly without flinching:

Really poor all round. No one really taking responsibility and trying to support the innings.

Well be beaten by 10 wickets.

It probably needs to be replaced with something completely different designed specifically for t20.

The way I understand it, it's a three-way ratio between runs, overs and wickets. You probably just need to give more weighting to overs in the formula.

Earlier this year the Heat had a really good first innings, can't remember who against or what the total was but it was a tough total to chase down.

Anyway it rained and as a result the opposition had to get 51 runs off 5 overs. 10 runs an over is a big ask, but when you have 10 wickets and only 5 overs, it's actually a pretty easy thing to do.

Heat were robbed, no question
