Some info on David Warner. He's been sent off to Zimbabwe & South Africa with the Australian A team to get some much time in under the belt. Rekon he'll be back for the third test should he do well.

Rekon he'll be back for the third test should he do well. I thought I just saw him listed as 12th man for this test?

Seems a silly risk to list him as 12th man and then send him overseas when there are others sitting in the sheds?

Nathan Lyon is 12th man, not Warner.

Australia are playing far too straight at Trott. He'll whip em off his legs for 1s and 2s every day of the week.

I haven't watched since lunch, but in the two hours before that, the amount of movement we were getting really worries me... Jimmy Anderson is going to have an absolute riot bowling to our 11 bunnies.

Wow, was not expecting Trott to throw himself away like that. Chopped on for 48, Siddle bags his third. He's looking much better since lunch.

Someone shave that filthy moustache off his face. He's definitely not doing better than Bell. He may have more runs than bell, but he is looking very average out there. Wicket will fall shortly, Starc to get one on off stump to him.

Siddle again! Bell gone, caught Watson. He was looking solid too.
Prior coming in. He and Bairstow have the potential to put on some quick runs, but now is a good time for the Aussies to break into the bowlers.

Has there been a period of more than 2-3 overs without the commentators labelling it a "crucial period of play"?
