instead of laurence chirping in during games to get some market research. lets get a survey done up and then whoever is commentating can just pop the link in during the game and be something like:

"Please also take a few minutes to fill out this survey to help us improve this servie for you ............."

I'm good for the Asian Cup final and probably both Sunday games, but as I'm going out to a gig Sunday night I'd prefer to do the earlier of the two games. Saturday is out because I'll be at the Roar/Heart.

Im happy to just chime in as I will be home and ask various market research questions as long as everyone in here knows whats happening. I can alert the match commentator just before I do it just to let them know that I am about to ask the question.

Do you know about our A-League coverage, what can we do to make it a better experience, what do you want to know more about the game while we're doing commentary... also is the matchday thing included in the 442 newsletter, could we get a schedule in there?

I am more than happy to conduct some research into why people are reading. Maybe a 2 or 3 times during our coverage on Saturday night/Sunday morning the commentator can ask "How are you viewing this coverage weather it be at home or out, are you watching the match live or are you on a computer/iphone. Then we dont have to post all the comments but I will copy them and post them here. What does everyone think about that?

+1... find that's the easiest times when i'm free and i nobody is watching tele at home

Also with saturday night coming up which could be our highest ever read game on Matchday i think we should do some market research into why people are on reading the updates, wether there at home/out and watching the game and commentating while watching the game on the computer/iphone sort of thing or there primarily reading the updates because they have no other way of keeping up to date with the game... and how we compare to other sites that do this service and how we can promote the a-league coverage better or make the service better?

are we covering the 3rd Place Playoff Off? because if we do i think we should trial the co-commentators in that game to see if it works before we try it in arguably our biggest game for exposure of the live updates and the website

Sunday Afternoon is preferable as well as late Wednesday night. I am definitely unable to do Saturday.

FM, I think we need to recruit some more commentators. Maybe 1 or 2.

damn, scouse can hopefully take some games. ill see how things are going on the weekend, if i do find some time during the day and if no one is commentating ill try and jump on, but no gurantees like i said.

I'd love to commentate but unfortunately I haven't had the chance. I'm always doing stuff on the weekends, or at the games.

I don't think I am doing anything yet this Saturday night, so put me down as a back-up for the Adelaide vs CCM match. It's probably the only one I could do...

yeah thats sound fine funky. i think thats the only game ill be ok for. for once the bad time is a good thing. ive got guests arriving on sat from the uk early morning so will be with them the whole weekend pretty much and would only be free late night saturday or sunday night

Cant do any on those games FM but I can be the Co-commentator for the roos match. The Co-comentator should be in a different colour and should respond to all viewer questions. Also, special comments could go something like:
"The Socceroos have an early lead here in Qatar but Japan have just made an attacking substitution and are looking to get back on level terms".

Hey guys, need you all to post when you can commentate. Luckily theres no Friday match, so we've still got time.

Also for the Final, I'm thinking we have one main Commentator, who just commentates, and a Co-Commentator, who does the SB/NF, Comments, and occasionally chimes in with special comments. Sound good?

Just remember there is 2 A-League matches today, if anyone can do them, but it's no biggie if we can't, just someone leave a standby note on the console that we won't be doing the games.

Football is just better if you talk about it while you watch it. I'd say that a large portion just like having a place to talk about it because the missus doesn't give a shit either way that Brett Emerton's cross was awful, etc.
