well gary,

im wondering if your next blog will outline how coaches are to achieve this objective..?

What do you think about the FourFourTwo blog How To Create Aussie Playmakers?
Australia is not blessed with a glut of highly creative No.10s coming through and we have to change our training methods at a youth level to remedy this.
Potential playmakers need to be encouraged to...

Have your say.

"In the past, the traditional No.10 sat
in the middle of the pitch, but with the midfield being packed with bodies in
the modern game, playmakers now increasingly have to drift out wide in order to find the space to operate."

I watched Mesut Ozil on the weekend for Real and this is exactly what he does. He reads the play as well as anyone in the world and always seems to find himself alone in space, during which he just seems to be lazily jogging along,But the can then turn on the pace, has fantastic feet, beat a man and lay a pass on a platter. IMO the best modern playmaker in the world at the moment

He had 2 playmakers at the AIS in Amini and Antonis last year, here's to hoping he might have a couple more in this year's group.

Being a playmaker myself, I do tend to be underused and with the conventional 4-4-2 or a 4-3-3 being used I normally get pushed out to the wing.
