Thanks for the scores leopard. Have not been able to get out there at all. Garage flooded out last night and spent most of the day under the house pumping out water.

Cheers, leopard. If you can, keep us up to date on today and tomorrow's matches.
In the NNSWIS vs FFV match, what was the red card for, and did it largely swing the match NNSWIS's way?

Day 1 QAS 3-1 NSWIS NNSWIS 2-2 WA SASI 4-2 FFV NT 2-0 TIS
NSWIS 2-1 NNSWIS WA 1-0 FFV QAS 2-1 NT SASI 3-2 TIS
Day 2 NSWIS 1-0 NT SASI 1-0 QAS WA 2-0 TIS NNSWIS 3-2 FFV
FFV 3-1 TIS NSWIS 3-3 SASI WA 2-0 QAS NT ?-? NNSWIS
Technical points rankings after day 1 1. QAS 2. SASI 3. WA 4. NT 5. NNSWIS 6. TIS 7. NSWIS 8. FFV
SASI and WA are the clear top 2 and appear to mainly be using players from the older age group. They are physically a lot stronger than the others and play at a very high tempo. QAS played very well on day 1 but were over powered on day 2. NT are the surprise packets. On an individual level they're not as good as the others but look well drilled and better prepared than some of the bigger states. NSWIS has a lot of the players that won the 14s easily in Coffs but have been inconsistent. NNSWIS and Tasmania seem to have a mix of ages and they too are a bit inconsistent, they are capable of some good attacking play but are just as likely to concede softly. Victoria are playing poorly. They look a very frustrated team, receiving plenty of cards including a red against NNSWIS and deserve to be bottom of the technical points. From what I've seen the technical group is Han Berger, Jan Versleijen, Gary Van Egmond, Aurelio Vidmar and Tony Franken.
There isn't a program like in Coffs so theres no published team lists and the game times keep changing so even if there was a draw put on the net it would be useless.

It seems the draw, results and squads for the NTC Challenge is a well-kept secret. I found some results on the Football West website, but the results are only for the WA squad.
NNSWIS 2 v Football West 2 FFV 0 v Football West 1
Football West 2 v TIS 0
Great result for NNSWIS. The Football West squad contains many of the U/15 WA squad who are the National Champions, so to get a point from them is a great effort.
Spathi, if you do get a spare moment to check out the football on show this week, would it be too much to ask of you to get a copy of the results and squads to post in here? I'd like to see who is in each squad and each result so far. If you can't, that's ok. I do realise everyone needs to work to earn a living and watching football isn't going to do that.

Most of you would be aware that the FFA, as of January 2010, held the NTC Challenge at the Ais. For those of you not aware of what the NTS Challenge is! It is a tournament that involves all states and regional sport institutes, where everyone plays each other once to see not only which institute comes out on top, but to also evaluate the level of play and level of development of the players within these institutes. In January SASI won the tournament, even though they finished second on the ladder due to the bonus points system that was in use.
Several players were identified through this tournament, which is a great credit to their particular institutes and coaches. I watched a few games myself and from my point of view the new national curriculum is working well judging by the level of play that was on show.
The next NTC Challenge was to be played in January 2011. So most state institutes were preparing for a January kick off. Some if not most state institutes organise overseas tours in early December as a lead in to the NTC Challenge, with parents doing many fund raising activities to raise the money for their child to go on these particular tours.
Recently ( in the last few weeks ) I found out, and it did perturb me, that FFA have moved the NTC Challenge back a month and now it will be played in December. So it seems that 2 or 3 state or regional institutes will not be attending because they will be away on tour. It is very hard as you could understand to try and re organise a tour which has been 12 months worth of planning. I dont know the reason why FFA have done this as it will only be detrimental to the NTC Challenge.
Anyone else got something to add?
