what a load of shit
fifa propaganda.
how about you address the ball farce ? stuff that actually matters ?
all this shit is just describing how teams play and just putting the word 'increasing' in front of it to make fifa seem good.
get fucked and good day.

Essentially it is a report that attempts to show that Spain really weren'tplaying anti football - really!

In all honesty this thing is a PR exercise rather than a true technical breakdown of the World Cup.

The thing about football - the important thing about football - is its not just about football.

Good summary Andy. This article is summarised beautifully by the Zonal Marking site. Their analysis of all big games is first class. Good site if you wnat to understand the game. If not don't read technical analysis.

Football is never going to move forward until we get people in positions of power who are willing to admit things aren't always perfect and that changes need to be made at times.

They may be controversial but the game isn't going to go anywhere by pretending everything is brilliant all the time. At the moment FIFA is scared of conflict and upsetting a couple of people by making some tough decisions. In a game the size of football you are never going to have everyone on side with a decision you make and FIFA seem to run on the theory that not making decisions is the way to keep everyone happy

Yes.

I've been checking out these reports for over 20 years - lazy bureaucrats saying the same thing each time.

You can predict the exact word that will be said of major powers, and those that will be said of the lightweights.

Daniel 1991, The point of point 1 is that the top teams blood their next generation players for experience. Australia certainly didn't. The game is expected to get faster in the future. Not only this but the average distance traveled will also increase by 10-20%. The average touches per play are about 2.2. The next generation of player will therefore have to be a little younger to compete well.Coaches should work from this criteria and get players to think and move faster.
