Personally I think it'd be a good idea to make public (amongst the kids) who's achieved the easily quatifiable goals, for example, when they are able to juggle a certain number of times. But the other goals which are a bit harder to quatify such as the ability to create width and depth, or even how much skill they are showing beating a man 1 on 1, may be best kept to yourself. I find it hard to put into words why I feel this way, just instinct I guess. I think maybe it could be discouraging to kids if they can't fully understand why they aren't passing something, and maybe there's not that much benefit to the kids who ARE passing if they don't fully grasp the meaning of why they are passing either. Then again, maybe thats one of your goals? To get kids this age to develop a proper in depth understanding of what they are trying to achieve through their off the ball movement etc? I would have thought this would come for slightly older age groups, but I haven't done any coaching badges or anything (all though I do plan to soon!). Anyway hope you're able get a sense of what I'm trying to say! Loving the new performance section. Keep it up! What do you think about the FourFourTwo blog Squad selected. Now the planning begins.? Okay...the trials have been run and the squads selected. Last night I spent an hour getting 30 odd very enthusiastic 10 year olds measured up for their kits. It was also our first interaction with the...Have your say.
