So turns out Morris wasn't charged for 'kicking' Luke in the face, which makes all the talk from the media about him 'drilling' or 'burrowing' his boot into Luke's face all the more ridiculous. Would also love to know how Kasiano gets charged and gets 2 weeks for his accidental knee on Luke, but this from Nathan Friend draws no charge. Also some great banter from the NRL giving Graham, who accidentally made contact with Reynolds in trying to charge down the kick, a higher grading than Felise Kaufusi who intentionally attacked Benji Marshall's legs while he was airborne.

So Brett Morris out for 2-3 months and Lafai out for 8 weeks.
Amazing how a season can go so completely to shit in one weekend.

Where was the NRL looking into this like they are with Graham. I don't remember talk about a potential ban for Soward.

We were poor today but I'd prefer we have our off days against the poor teams. Will worry more if we're that flat again on Friday night. Getting JWH and Friend back soon solves most problems though.

Showed a great example of how to be a captain.

For the sake of a few laughs, read some of the comments on the DT website over this. Amazed that out of 500+ replies, there was only a few comments about "I'd expect this in Soccer/Soccer Hooligans/Bulldogs fans = Wanderers fans".

As a football fan who supports the Eels, what more could you ask for??

One of the worst halfs of the season, but does show how dangerous the Broncos could be at full strength and if they start to click.

Ref made the 100% correct decision. You are not allowed to make contact with kickers legs. Crystal clear. If the rules allowed for discretion, that one should never be a penalty, but they don't. Klemmer going off was hilarious though.
Can't believe some fans saying that wasn't an 8 point try. He straight up kicked him in the head.

Fan violence mars NRL grand final rematch between Canterbury Bulldogs and South Sydney Rabbitohs Updated 57 minutes ago Crowd trouble mars end to Rabbitohs-Bulldogs clash A NRL sideline interchange official has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken shoulder after being struck by a bottle by Canterbury fans as the Good Friday showdown with South Sydney ended amid ugly scenes at Sydney's Olympic stadium. A last-gasp penalty from Bryson Goodwin in front of the posts sealed a dramatic 18-17 win for the Rabbitohs to seal an unlikely victory. So incensed was Canterbury by the decision after James Graham caught the leg of Adam Reynolds as he tried to charge down a field goal attempt in the final minute that prop David Klemmer was sin-binned for verbally abusing referee Gerard Sutton. After the final siren the officials were showered with plastic water bottles by a section of the crowd as they walked up the tunnel with Darren Alchin slipping after being hit and injuring his shoulder as he hit the ground. Canterbury chief executive Raelene Castle said the club would view CCTV to weed out the culprits and vowed to ban any individual who is found to have thrown anything for life. "It's not what this club is about and it's not acceptable behaviour," Castle said. "We will look at the vision and take action." The Nine Network also reported that there was a coward punch attack outside the stadium after the game. Hasler apologises for fan behaviour Canterbury coach Des Hasler apologised for the actions of some of his club's supporters, and said despite his frustration at the defeat, the behaviour was not acceptable. "I just want to offer an apology on behalf of the club," Hasler said. "I've been to see the refereeing official who was I think struck by a projectile - he's okay but that is not us, that is not what this club is about and it's not what sport in this country is about. "Unfortunately the behaviour of a few can kind of ruin it and spoil it for everybody. "On behalf of all the officials and the players and everybody involved with the club, our sincerest apologies for what appeared and it won't happen again." Need an A League fan to throw a bottle this weekend. Soccer shame would come out but I expect this incident to be put away quickly.

Also supposedly the call was correct to move it in front, that's the rules, that's ok. But if that's the case, how can any charge down to stop a field goal ever go down without it being a foul??? -PB
