In, have played the last two years did not think anyone on here played it. (Team name is Broar)

I use to play something similar many years ago. I don't know why, but for some reason I felt like playing a NRL Fantasy league thingy again. While I was setting up my team I thought I may as well set up a private league also :)

What makes it even more sweeter is, I have just the past few minutes found out there is real cash prize money (not that I will win anything), which should hopefully keep me interested/remember to keep active throughout the full season (hopefully).

Gah. I would have joined but I do one with nrl.com and don't have the time to manage 2 teams.

Yea I pretty much got into NRL SuperCoach to try and win some more cash after playing Fantasy A-league a few seasons back.

So far I've finished: 2014 - 1,946th & 2015 - 611th (season high rank of 90th).

However I don't think I'll have enough time to invest in the game this year. :(

Oh well, team lists really dropped a few bombs today.

Parra will be a very good team with Foran in there with Norman. Good win for the Broncos, I think winning away at Parra will be pretty rare this year.

People keep hyping the Eels, I'm trying to figure out why?

Yeah I don't really get it tbh. I mean they have a solid team, but some people act as if they went out and signed a whole bunch of elite players. They signed 2 and even Jennings sometimes makes you question how elite he really is. On top of that I'm still not sure about Brad Arthur as a coach.

That being said I think they will be better than the last couple years and might make the 8, but I've seen some people predicting them to finish 4th or 5th which I just don't understand.

And I don't rate Foran anymore, his best days are behind him imo (not only that he was surrounded by quality during said glory days @ Manly).

Mark Geyer pointing out what everyone else already knows that Pearce got off lightly with 8 weeks because he plays for the Roosters

Pearce is overrated and/or shown favouritism in every aspect of the game, on and off the field.

On the Eels, if I could pick any halve in the comp after Thurston it would be a 50/50 between Cronk and Foran. Imo he's that good. Gordon, Norman, Foran and Peats is a high quality spine. Semi and Jennings are as good as any in their positions, and their starting forward pack is quality. Their right side of defence and depth is an issue though.

On Pearce, sure he could have got more games, but $125,000 is absolutely insane.

Sat through the game last night. Wasn't too bad and I was happy to watch it as a live telecast.

Was it that Eels played well and the Broncos were too strong or that the Eels just suck? Not sure what the standard is tbh.

I felt like we (Broncos)barely got out of second gear last night, we had a couple of tries ruled out due to forward passes (rightly) but if we were a little more clinical there and Parker kicks his goals we go close to winning by 30.

I thought the Eels really hanged in there all night and did well considering the injuries.

Not sure where the Eels will end up this year though, they've got potential.

They've got a good spine - Foran is only 25 so I don't agree with him being passed his best at this stage.

They've got some really good outside backs in Semi, Gutherson & Jennings (although I'm not sure how the Semi & Jennings will work together).

Mannah & Scott you know what you'll get from these guys week in and out.

Ma'u- this guy just loves to rip in, one of the best second rowers in the comp.

Don't think they have the depth though.

Lastly Moeroa - I find this guy to be one of biggest cats going round if it wasn't for genetics he wouldn't be in the NRL.

Good summary. I wouldn't say the Broncos didn't get out of second gear, I think it was just round 1 rustiness. It won't even look like first gear compared to how good they'll be playing come September, but that was tough footy last night.
