watched the replay broncos v storm
gee that was a satisfying win. Shame they didn't win by a bigger margin - hit those conversions and don't concede that late try and they can land a crippling psychological blow against the storm a fortnight out from the finals probably ending their season. Their line speed in defence was about as good as last week but their attack has improved, in particular their back rowers stepping before the line and props (particularly mcguire) hitting the advantage line and going forward. The halves have flourished with the extra space that provides

Still they have a couple of areas to improve

1. Hopefully parker takes the goal kicking duties come finals time. I understand nurturing a replacement but they need those points
2. Their line speed in defense has improved out of sight. They need to keep this up and hurting the opposition in tackles. But it could be a little straighter. They come up a little staggered
3. They need to improve by a big margin their ability to turn field position into repeat sets of 6. That was one area where melbourne were much better than brisbane
4. occasionally their decoys got in a way of their runners. Their execution should improve

Won't matter we have one of the worst goal-kicking rates in the comps - regardless of whether its Parker/Milford/Hunt/Kahu kicking them. We'd be firmly in the top 4 if we had a decent kicker.

Will some effort by the Dogs to go from 4th to finishing the season in 7th in the space of a few weeks.

Seriously, how many Thursday games have the Bulldogs had?

After I go to training on Thursday nights, the drive home I usually have the radio set on my local station and more often than not it's live commentary on Thursday Night Rugby League. And I swear, it has felt like every single Thursday for the last 2 months, every week I swear the Bulldogs are playing :lol:

Yeah we've just had 3 Thursday games in a row lol. Had 2 the whole season before that.

Far out Sharks, OK playing down there is never a easy game but ffs you had something to play for you hadn't never ever got that close to it.

Well thats my overall look on the crappy season I've had - been one of the toughest Eagle seasons in long long long time and whilst we have barrett I can't see it getting any better soon lol......

Hopefully Morris going back to fullback can help our attack look better than outright retarded.

if they can find a way to improve those two areas they would be the best team in the comp but they are leaving it late!

Entertaining game

amusing to see the billy slater rule being applied and resulting in a penalty try!

Sharks vs Raiders match was a cracker.

Was at the game on Friday and it was just so dire, maybe the weather really played a part in that.

I did laugh from all the we were robbed comments from the Titans though, we won by 16 points, scored 8 tries - bombed a couple and dominated pretty much all the stats; Possession, Territory, Running Metres, Line-Breaks, did less defence and missed less tackles. The better team won. 

Won't deny the refs weren't poor though, but on the main calls;

Mead on Oates - never a penalty but I'm sure we saw that exact same thing happen a few weeks ago and no one said anything about it.....

Roberts kick - If the refs actually reffed the ruck we would never of got to that point, the Titans were rolling around in the ruck all night a bit of karma really. 

Penalty try - correct call, it's funny though the media bitch and moan whenever it comes to things like this; The Slater rule, obstruction, video refs, judiciary, etc.  which in turn makes the NRL changing the rules to make them more black and white then it becomes apparent that their is actually a grey area and the media proceeds to lose their shit again.
