Had no doubt qld were going to win, they are virtually a national squad with the exception of 1 or 2, the blues don't have the nucleus of x factor players as they and it showed as usual when pressing the try line couldn't take their chances, qld defense is solid and straighter whereas us when under pressure the holes appear, thurstons try was typical of this. TBH the game wasn't as high in action as I would have hoped, not a lot of line breaks etc and also the new no blewing rules has taken some spice out of it. Good luck to qlders, means far more to them.

While I can see it working in rugby union I think the outside influence rule or whatever it was when the streaker interfered is farce in a set tackle game like rugby league. It should just go back to the previous play the ball. To pretty much reward one team with an extra six tackles because both teams were interfered with on the last tackle is just weird and unfair especially when you have uncontested scrums.

Please watch that guard who falls over just next to the posts after the try. Absolutely hilarious. When I saw it live I totally lost it

I still can't believe Pearce keeps getting games, it really does show it's more about who you know than about playing ability.
After watching him for the past few months Fifita is quite the player. What were the tigers thinking.

I went to school with him. Can tell you he's the biggest dick. Strutted around the school telling anybody who had the misfortune to bump into him who he was and who his father was. After he broke into the Roosters first team, he made an appearance at our school and the whole school was forced to sit in assembly and listen to him ramble on about 'lifehood dreams' 'dreams come true' and then he encouraged us to 'reach for our dreams'. Load gun. Put in mouth. Pull trigger. He's definitely going to turn into Brad Fitler once he finishes his career. After watching him for the past few months Fifita is quite the player. What were the tigers thinking. [/quote] Tigers are like Sydney FC. They're a cunt to be a fan of at times. This whole Benji scandal is fucked. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the Tigers aren't around in 3 years time. Especially with this Wests nonsense. I wouldn't mind if they just went back to being Balmain. That'd be epic.

I will cop a lot, but this is fucking shit. It'does not mean more to them QLD were hardly able to handle 3 series in a row without throwing their toys out of the pram, can only imagine what they'd do with 8, and yet we keep coming back year after year. So no, it does not mean more to them.

Interesting how there's no talk from the media about Origin being a dead concept after 8 QLD wins in a row like there was when NSW win 3 in a row in the early 00's. Everyone knows Origin only works when QLD are winning. Edited by sydneycroatia58: 18/7/2013 08:30:18 PM

Just the other day I was thinking that we should try and bring back Hunt. Think he would do a great job at five-eighth. Then I see this. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/nrl/hunt-is-on-for-broncos-saviour/story-fnca0von-1226682229540 [-o< [-o< [-o< [-o< [-o<

Adam Reynolds needs to be nsw halfback next year. The guy is by far the best halfback nsw have and I think within two or three seasons he will be the best halfback in the game. He has a excellent kicking game, he is a fantastic goal kicker, he is leading the NRL in assists, he is in super form and will probably continue that next season. He has only gotten better and better.

TSF - I would have added gafl. See. I have a theory. I read an article years ago about pro-wrestling, WWE, WCW and the like. The main point was the writers (yes wrestling has writers, I don't think that's a spoiler :p ), the writers know that when the bad guys are winning, the ratings are always higher. So it follows a pattern, the bad guys are usually on top then come a big pay-per-view the good guys will get the win, then lose it soon after and the cycle starts again. As sydcro said, Origin seems to work best when Qld are winning, and I honestly think the NRL is well aware of it. Qld seem to constantly ge the rub of the green (anyone old enough to remember Barry Gommersall will tell you). There seems to be one of those things every year that Qld get away with, like Slater not even getting cited for the elbow to Pierce this year, Tate's punch on Bird last year etc. There's the ongoing fact that Inglis plays for Qld despite the overwhelming evidence that by Origin's own rules he should have played for NSW, which is the worst of Qld recuiting players from every where is seems except Qld. Plus everytime they want to take a game to Melbourne it seems to fall in the year it was NSW's turn to host 2 games. They know the QRL won't give up their chance to host 2 games so it's always Sydney that gets rorted. It's beyond a joke, but it's the status quo as long as the NRL profits from it. /rant.

In regards to the Melbourne games, it's not always Sydney that gets rorted. I think there's only been 1 more instance where it took away a game from Sydney rather than Brisbane.
The shit thing about taking games down to Melbourne is that it essentially becomes another QLD home game. That and also the fact that games in a competition between NSW and QLD in Melbourne makes no fucking sense at all.

I'm 99.9% certain that Slater was cited and the match review determined he had no case to answer. How do we constantly get the rub of the green? Gallen should've been binned in game 1, he wasn't which lead to the cluster fuck of game 2. Decisions go against both teams it's not some conspiracy. Instead of saying the refs cost us the past eight years maybe accept some accountability and stop selecting dud players. Merritt, Pearce, Woods, Reynolds, etc. Maybe select that big naked bald man he's already done a great job in denying us a try. Sign him up. f1worldchamp wrote: There's the ongoing fact that Inglis plays for Qld despite the overwhelming evidence that by Origin's own rules he should have played for NSW, which is the worst of Qld recuiting players from every where is seems except Qld.
It goes both ways, you guys seem to forget that. Just recently Tamou, Uate, The Great Scotsman James McManus born in Scotland raised in the NT. f1worldchamp wrote: Plus everytime they want to take a game to Melbourne it seems to fall in the year it was NSW's turn to host 2 games. Meanwhile we just got dudded from not having our turn at a second match this year. Edit: Maybe I should've posted this. That would've saved me some time. Edited by Roar_Brisbane: 22/7/2013 03:16:35 PM
