Correct call IMO.

That was a pretty soft Penalty Try.

Not sure what the commentators are on about, all he had to do was grab the ball and fall over the line.

Great play by DCE.

Bit hard to say that a clear scoring opportunity was impeded with the ball bobbling like that and another man on the play. Penalty, yeah sure, but to give 6 points for that is really rough.

Commentators going on about how you can't guarantee Lyon would have scored. I 100% guarantee he would have scored without that tackle.

With an 8 point try you get two kicks because you get the normal conversion from where the try is scored and then the penalty. For a penalty try the try isn't actually scored so you don't get the conversion.

So had he grounded the ball in some capacity it would have been 8 pointer?

Not necessarily, should say an 8 pt try is for infringements made after the grounding of the ball. So if a player comes in late into the back of a player as he scores the try it's an 8 point try, or if a player goes in with their boot first trying to stop the try. It happened to Barba this season against the dragons I think it was. The Dragons player went in and scored and Barba came in late knees in the back. Thats an 8pt try.

A penalty try is for professional fouls where a player is tackled without the ball as before the line.

Poor old wolfman, he seems to be one of the weakpoints in the manly team.

They can't get anything right today. Manly are handing it to the Roosters now though.

Lazy, flat-footed defending seems to be a continuing issue for Manly.
