What a massive stretch to call this a derby. Rivalry yes. Derby no.

So your anger is because in old football you never got your way and now with new football you still not getting your way, fair enough.
Well enjoy parramatta eagles at the bottom of the NSWPL ladder in 2011

Well enjoy parramatta eagles at the bottom of the NSWPL ladder in 2011 :-s :-s :-s How did I not get my way? What was my way. I got to enjoy quality football, watching a family friend captain my team to the last NSL grand final. It was wonderful. Parra Eagles will do the club proud no matter where they finish this season and I can't wait to get along to Melita Stadium to watch some games as well as King Tom Stadium again this season. The funny thing is all your hatred and spite of me for enjoying and supporting football in this country I am a paid member for a Victorian club (most succesful in Australia) who I like to support through membership because there fans aren't idiots and they are making steps forward and working with the FFA and A-League.

Instead of fixing the problem they replaced dumb administrators with malicious administrators. People still love football and these traditional clubs and rivalries will be their voice, this is how the common man will stand up to the yoke of modern football and its soulselling epic-loss-making franchises The thing is, even at the height of the NSL, during its so-called golden years of the early nineties, the "glorious" derby between Melbourne Knights and Sydney United never attracted particularly large crowds. You can check the attendance figures on the ozfootball website to confirm this. I'm sure two or three thousand people would be interested in attending a friendly between two state league clubs, and paying homage to their ethnic traditions at the same time... particularly if it were linked to a Croatian food and drink festival (I know I would be interested in that!) But this no longer has anything to do with the elite level of club football in Australia, or the way the game is administrated at the top. Administrators may be still dumb, but... malicious(!?) Current day administrators are certainly no worse than the incompetents who ran the game in the past. Of course people are still interested in keeping an interest in grassroots football alive... that is why there are hundreds and hundreds of amateur and semi-professional teams playing in the amateur and state leagues of the major Australian cities. Many of these teams exist purely because people want to play the game, and their only supporters are friends and relatives of the players. Sydney and Melbourne Croatia, and Sydney Olympic for that matter, are of no more importance than hundreds of other clubs around Australia, which also have long traditions. And, yeah, it's nice to make the odd quixotic gesture against "soul-selling franchises" But I don't think the formation of FC United in Manchester has had much effect in reducing Manchester United's crowds....!

Who makes Olympic's travel arrangements? What will the 144 supporters booked on the two buses (A-League here we come!) do when they get to an empty Crehan Park? Or are the buses booked to take the supporters from Belmore to Belmore? A quick trip along Canterbury Road perhaps and then back again? Things don't really look too good for the start of the revolution. I hope for Olympic's sake that things pick up. The A-League eagerly awaits such organisation.

Olympic will have a big festival in the city and Wollongong has one in Wollongong they want the people to come from the festa start to the park.

Too the Sydney United fan so there was 950 at BELMORE WHEN we played you guy
I wonder how many where at you game when we played you guys Not more than 400
We have several games where we drew over 1000 plus people Ive been to Edensor last five yeats and most cases a crowd of 500 is the most you get with 20 per cent greeks
If you think im lying to the cros on here come to a few Olympic games and you will see that we are easily the best supported team in the Premier league
You guys didnt even have a thousand people in the semi against Apia Man you guys are bagging Olympic crowd but we easily get double the crowd you guys draw

Actually it was only a few seasons ago, where we beat olympic at home in injury time, the crowd that day was close too 2000. & you would of been lucky to see 20 olympic fans. To say your the best supported club in the NSWPL, is laughable, you havent proved nothing yet. Maybe we didnt get 1000 to our semi, but we where there, as for your lot? where were you? mmmmm....

This would definitely get some good ratings if it was on SBS, but they but they do not have the private marketing concepts to pull this stuff off.
But would love to be home next Sunday watching this one live on SBS would be interesting to say the least

if Sydney United was getting decent crowds and not 800 people then the Olympic people would respect them as a club and come in big numbers.
But if only 800 united fans are going to be there whats there to see?

Knights won on the day 1-0. It was United's first pre season friendly while the knights had about 8 or 9... fitness got the better of us at the end of the day... Was raining throughout the day, was hoping the weather would of been better... Around 20+ United supporters travelled to the match.
