Looking forward to quite a few songs on that list, though Ronnie is going to ruin Gangsta's Paradise.
This is the best cover of it anyway;

Phwoar, Unwritten Law playing their Self Titled would be pretty fucking sick. May consider going just for that.

The fact AJ hasn't responded with his usual tirade suggests he's trying hard to get them back. That violin solo at 2:08. Fucking sexy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLhaoob1ziI^ this has got to be the most disowned hit in history. With regards to this story-> http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/music/nick-cave-says-the-internet-is-making-rock-boring-20140212-32heg.html^ When youre the singer of this song (he didnt write it), a song that should be preserved in Australia's National Music Registry for being culturally and historically significant, youre entitled to plod through 35 years of making mediocre, pretentious music

Just saw the INXS movie that was on the weekend. Reminder of what a great band they were. I'm not sure Australia will ever produce another Michael Hutchence

In love with Twenty One Pilots at the moment. Highly recommend. Indie crossed with rap crossed with electronica, with some super catchy choruses. Put on a great live show as well.

Timetables up on the website.
So far I have: 11.45-12.30 BIFFY CLYRO STAGE 1/MAYDAY PARADE STAGE 3 12.30-1.05 TSSF STAGE 3A/LESS THAN JAKE 12.40-1.20 1.20-1.50 ALKALINE TRIO STAGE 5B 2.00-3.00 THE LIVING END STAGE 1 3.25-4.05 PANIC AT THE DISCO STAGE 3 4.00-5.00 ADTR STAGE 1/BOWLING FOR SOUP STAGE 3 6.00-7.00 JIMMY EAT WORLD STAGE 1 7.00-10.00 GREEN DAY STAGE 1
It's ok I guess. Gonna miss Letlive. for Green Day, but I'm not too bothered.
Need to decide between Mayday Parade & Biffy Clyro and The Story So Far & Less Than Jake. Also really pissed off about ADTR and Bowling For Soup clashing. On one hand, i saw ADTR in July and this is meant to be BFS's last Australian tour. On the other hand, common courtesy was awesome and there's about 5 or 6 songs on that album that i haven't heard live yet that i really want to see.
Don't really want to see Panic at the Disco, but there's no one else on at that time and I really like a couple of their songs.

Taking my cousin, will be his first concert, should be fun. This'll be our day; 11 to 11:40 - Amon Amarth 12 to 12:30 - Defiler 12:30 to 1:15 - Alter Bridge 1:15 to 1:45 - Asking Alexandria 1:45 to 2:40 - Break (Maybe Living End) 2:40 to 3:20 - Gwar 3:20 to 4:00 - Volbeat 4:20 to 5:00 - Clutch 5:00 to 5:40 - Baroness 5:40 to 6:20 - Skindred 6:40 to 7:20 - Gojira 7:20 to 9:00 - Break 9:00 to 10:00 - Mastodon
Pretty keen. Absolutely shattered that Alter Bridge clash with Dangerkids, and a little with AA, but There'll be chances in the future.

Apparently Thy Art is Murder have been kicked off SW for trying to incite crowd violence against security.

Benjo wrote:Apparently Thy Art is Murder have been kicked off SW for trying to incite crowd violence against security. Rightfully so, when you say shit like "Smash the security and swarm the stage" you deserve to get booted. Last thing Soundwave needs is that. AJ listed the reasons as well which is fair enough. Also said Police wanted to stop the band playing.

Looks like they're back on now after meeting with AJ. Good to see they realised what they did was fucking stupid.

A few months old but still good. They're entirely changed their sound to get air time on Triple J but it's still a decent vibe.

Soundwave was great! Though was disappointed in Greenday, they just seemed average. I started the day with the Porkers who killed, played 3 of my favourite songs so cant complain about that and watched Porkman fall off of the stage (he was okay so it was funny). Then off to Nancy Vandal, they were a bit flat but what do you expect when they've not done anything in near 10 years.
Less than Jake were excellent! Great crowd interaction and killer set. Best of the night. Quick break then to the living end for a quick minute, just seemed like blokes going through the motions. Left Living End for GWAR who were fantastic but were late starting so less of their set than was planned. Lunch break before heading to Bowling for Soup who were great, highlights were the Phineas and Ferb theme, opened with girl all the bad guys want ended with 1985 and their cover of Stacey's Mum. Then Pennywise? Skipped out on the pit as I was still aching from LTJ and GWAR. Skindred were intense, again grest crowd interaction and really had the room moving. Rocket from the Crypt were fantastic but only about 80 people there due to clash with Korn and other. Then greenday which was meh, they played the songs I knew they would, some old some new, same formula, I can confirm its mediocore. Left Greenday and caught the end of Rob Zombie, was okay, back to Greenday, see above, then to A7X who were good, not a huge fan but sounded good and Fire! Overall better than last year but headliners were weaker. Noe exactly talica and the offspring

A mate has gotten me onto Twelve Foot Ninja (not sure if been posted about before or not). For some reason I'm really enjoying them - not something I would usually drop everything for. They're playing in Newy @ the Cambridge at the end of March - am thinking of heading to it. Interesting about the video: Quote:The video was funded by our awesome supporters, breaking a world record for the highest amount successfully crowd funded for a music video ($45,000) - that was our target. We actually crowd funded $52,600.
