My best mate has been telling me for years that Mark Ronson - Record Collective is one of his favourite albums. I finally gave it a good listen and I absolutely loved it! What a fun album!

I defy anyone not to enjoy Less Than Jake. Such a fun band. Great live as well. One of those bands who don't take themselves seriously at all  For instance, the lead singer walking on stage and greeting the audience with, "sup, cunts?"

Foxes debut album is due out in the next couple of months. She's an exceptionally talented, young singer who is yet to receive the credit she deserves for what she has done so far. She's mainly recognised for singing in songs for DJs, when really she's the impressive part of the song. She's certainly a talent to watch.

Foxes has a great voice but I thought you'd be more excited about the new Boy George album.

So a guy I went to high school with had a jazz gig last night with Tim Reis, the saxophonist for the Rolling Stones.
As they were about to go on, they were then informed Charlie Watts would be the drummer for the night.

Seattle Police to re-open the Kurt Cobain investigation. they have developed film that was taken on the day of the investigation.
Funny that they would re-open it the same year they're to be inducted into the Rock N Roll hall of fame.

Yacht Club DJs just released their new mix, called Oddity Number 5. Haven't had a decent listen yet but am very keen to. But one of their other mixes, Find Me a Machiatto Pronto, is probably my favourite DJ mix ever. I listen to it at least once a fortnight. Around 2 mins into it, they include the greatest drop I've ever heard in a mix. https://soundcloud.com/yachtclubdjsmusic/find-me-a-macchiato-pronto

Kid Cudi's 4th album has dropped. Sounds like the soundtrack of a shroom trip in space tbh, fantastic stuff
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Had a shitty day on Monday, driving 6 hours in a car without a working radio. So decided to get a functioning music player. Found my old iphone, which has been unused since changing to a Galaxy, and have turned it into an ipod. Spent two hours last night sorting out my old itunes library  but have to add in a heap more music I've gotten over the last few years.
Chucked my ipod on this morning and had a good listen to Paul Dempsey's album - something I haven't listened to in ages. Loved it!

Can confirm, La Gargola is one of Chevelle's best efforts. Could be one of the best albums to come out this year.
I was pretty impressed with La Dispute's effort to.

On Friday night I went to the Cambridge in Newy and checked out Twelve Foot Ninja - they were absolutely unreal! So many songs that seemed to vary in genre - some pure metal, some reggae, some funk. Just awesome. The main guitarist, the tall bald guy, was hilarious - even told jokes on stage and I think at the end got us in the crowd to make a movement that I assume he will attempt to turn into a viral video. Had an absolute blast and will be sure to check them out whenever i can from now on.

One of their supports, The Algorithm, were also super impressive. A duo from Europe somewhere, basically it's just a drummer and a dude on a mixer/sampler type thing. The drummer was literally insane, and the songs were just awesome.

Twelve Foot Ninja are one of the best aussie bands around right now. They've got a Mike Patton-esque sound going on and they're very dynamic with a broad range of influences. If you haven't got their album Silent Machine you're missing out big time.

Not really into folk, but Twin Forks debut album is very good indeed.
Also, I love this song. No fucks given if everyone else hates it, I think it's great.
