Just bought Foals' first two albums this morning. Loving it so far! Not nearly as good as Holy Fire, but fantastic nonetheless. I think Total Life Forever is their best effort so far, closely followed by Holy Fire. Good follow up in any case. More time shall lead to a more accurate judgement  Spanish Sahara is still probably be if my favourite songs ever.

Not bad

If it was a one day event and still in Perth, I'd be keen. But when there's only four bands on Day 1 (New Found Glory, Gerard Way, Fireworks and Hollywood Undead) three bands on Day 2 (Fall Out Boy, All Time Low and Tonight Alive), it's not worth flying over.
If I can get three or four bands on the second announcement, then I'll consider flying over. I'm disappointed about lack of Rise Against, considering they were heavily rumoured and Tim said they'd be in Australia in February.
Is it just me, or does there seem to be less pop punk/alt rock bands on the lineup this year?

Is it just me, or does there seem to be less pop punk/alt rock bands on the lineup this year? Definitely more of a 90's/Metalcore Lineup. Will probably only go to Day 2 in Melbs, unless Day 1 gets some handy additions. Day 2 is fucking amazing though, keen as. EDIT: That said, if a 1 day pass is only 20-30 bucks cheaper, will probably just go to both, Most of the bands I want to see on Day 1 I've seen before, but I'll see em again if it's only gonna cost me 30 bucks. I know you're from Melbourne Notor but Mullumbimby is a looong way from Sydney :d I haven't looked into it a lot but apparently she doesn't write some/all of her own raps, which leaves the question if she can actually call herself a rapper. Still her music is catchy as hell.

Went out to an album launch last night in Newtown for a band a mate of mine formed that I used to work with. They're called Sam & The Bird. My mate - Lachy - pretty fucking talented dude. Another friend of mine is also in the band, doing backup vocals and keyboard/percussion. And a couple of songs from their new album. This is a live recorded version of 'The Sheriff' Another single from the album If you like their stuff, I encourage you to check their stuff out. https://itunes.apple.com/au/artist/sam-and-the-bird/id569546171https://www.facebook.com/SamAndTheBird?fref=ts

I thought they had a really good mix of acts Of the whole line up, I'd only jump at Vance Joy. John Butler and The Temper Trap would be great, but only know a few songs. I'm sure I know bits and pieces from the rest, but no names that are really familiar to me.

Hundy% I was hoping for something like GTM2011. Literally the best festival in history. If I could have picked any line up, it would have been close to my choice.

Falls was great last year. The Roots were all time. Still a decent enough line up and will be how I bring in New Years again.

New Slipknot single, the only thing i feel differentiates between SS and the Knot is the one or 2 pings on the keg and the outro. Other than that, this is a SS song. Dont mind it though.
