It's good so far. Got yelled at by my boss last night for watching too much of it on the TV and not doing enough work.
WOLLONGONG WOLVES FOR A-LEAGUE EXPANSION!

Thoroughly enjoyed going to South Africa vs Fiji last night :D The vibe of the crowd was pretty good, and all the Fijian supporters stayed light hearted despite the score blowing out like it did. Great (although a little one sided) display of rugby.
Absolutely chuffed about the Irish winning too :D ! I'm only 25% Irish, but 100% proud \:d/

Missed the game. Apparently it was rubbish. Possibility of the Boks in the quarters and the all Blacks in the semis now. Do Not Want.
Having said that, South Africa don't scare me as much. They're a team on decline and I think we can beat them if it came down to it.

can i just say channel 9s coverage here in sydney is appaling. all of the games bar 1 have been replay including the aus vs ireland game. plus next week's australia vs usa game will also be shown on a 3 hour delay.
if nrl takes priority, then give the cup to another channel. considering channel 9 owns gem and go, why not show it on that instead of letting us down on the chance to watch our national team live

Same here :D The kiwis are getting twice as much bang for their buck though, they get to support the All Blacks AND whoever the Wallabies are against. Still can't believe some of the referee decisions from the Ireland game.

I know its very belated, but can I just point out that Tonga beat France  Good ol' cheese eating surrender monkeys. I'm tipping New Zealund, England, Australia and Ireland to go through.

It'll be close. I think our advantage is this Boks team is old and on the decline, although they haven't shown that at the World Cup. gotta keep the discipline though, Morne Steyn will eat us for supper otherwise.

For the love of odin can someone please explain in intricate detail the fucking rules when the ball goes out of bounds?

If the the ball is kicked out from the middle two sections, it must bounce once before going out of bounds, otherwise it is a line-out to the opposition from wherever the ball was kicked. If they are in the outside sections, they can kick the ball out on the full without being penalised.

That was just woeful from England. Credit to France, they came out of the blocks quick and didn't play like a team in crisis.
If Tonga beat France and France beat England, does that mean Tonga are better than England?

Edited by samb: 9/10/2011 05:32:29 PM He just seems to think that his brilliance will carry him through throwing ridiculous passes that are no-where near coming off. He hit the ball straight into the South African's arms from a 22 drop out. He didn't even look. Edited by chillbilly: 9/10/2011 05:41:58 PM
