What’s your postage like? Forum and post?Mainly world football. Try and dip my input into Australian football but some real air heads in there. Post: I think I sent a postcard back home once.
At what point did you realise you weren't going to make it as a professional footballer? A few seasons ago. Was over at Dundalk and Sheffield United for a bit. Came back to finish my uni degree and my life hit a bit of hurdle and football took a back seat for 6 months and lost my chance to head back. Very happy playing state league here in Sydney though.
Can you tell us a little about your amateur football career or any other sporting career? Started playing at 5 years old. Both here in Australia and back in England and Ireland. Made the step up around 13 or 14 years old, spent some time with Dundalk and a little at Sheffield United. Here was involved with the mariners for a season. Other sports, only played baseball, could have progressed a lot further in the sport but had to make a choice as both sports started to overlap. I know some players who are now playing top level in the US and it makes me think I should have stayed in it.

FM, FIFA or PES?FIFA, was a PES man but since I got a PS3 in 09 I have changed to FIFA. Love FM though.

Greatest MUFC game? Champions League final in 99 and 08. Also some crackers like the recent 4v3 derby, Beating Arsenal 4v2 at Highbury a while back. And any of the great comeback, Spurs being 3v0 down and the Liverpool cup game in 99. Too many to pick from.
Favourite MUFC memory?When I first attended Old Trafford, just amazing. United v Celtic in 2008 also in the away end at the Emirates when we made the Champions League final. To see an atmosphere change so suddenly was quite amazing.
Worst MUFC memory?Munich disaster. But in my time probably getting done by Barca in Rome, it was humiliating. Any loss to the scousers is hard to take.
Funniest MUFC memory?John Terry slip.
Favourite MUFC goal?Beside Ryan Giggs against Arsenal in 99 it would have to be Scholes at Villa Park

What is your view on the finals series system?I prefer first past the post. But in Australia we do need a finals series and it is great for the game. I think it should be done how the state leagues in NSW are done. First 5 make the finals, 1st place gets the week off. 2nd plays 3rd and 4th plays 5th. Winner of 4 and 5 plays loser of 2 and 3 in minor semi and major is the winner of 2 and 3 playing the team who had the week off. I hate how half the league is rewarded with finals football.
Where do you see the a-league in 5 years time?As bad as somethings look for football in this country I still believe that the game is going in the right direction. We need a bit of luck (would the game be the same in this country if Harry Kewell didn’t airswing the ball to Bresciano and help us qualify for the WC), so I think in 5 years we will have another team. I would like to see it be a West Sydney team but will have no complaints if the FFA look elsewhere first. As long as the get it right and we don’t see a NQ Fury situation. Also I think in 5 years we will have a far greater amount of Asian players making their way to Australia rather than the other way around. It is crucial that we get another team to do what Adelaide did in the ACL, hopefully Brisbane can help us out.
What would you do to entice more big names to the A-league?You can’t entice them with the football at the moment. You have to offer them the whole package, you must sell the lifestyle. The league needs big names, I don’t care if they are “over the hill” or not, we need bums on seats while the game continues to grow. But we have a great opportunity to promote the game here and that is introducing goal line technology, if we are involved in the testing it is only going to create headlines and I am sure some players will take a bit more interest in what we have down here. I also think selling the ACL as a potential competition will tempt some players looking to add to their CV.
What is your summary on the A-league season?The best A-League season I have seen so far. The quality of football was much better from all teams. There was goals, controversy and a fitting finale. I was disappointed with the crowd numbers and hope that the fixture list proves to be a lot more fan friendly this season. As good a season it was it did have it’s lows with the NQ Fury and the Gold Coast crowd saga. Many highs and lows but what is important to me is the football and I thought it was the best we have seen. We as a game have to thank Brisbane Roar for their promotion of their style of football.

Ideal Woman?Someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously. Must have a nice body, not too skinny. Someone who I can laugh with all day. Needs to understand my love for football. If I had to pick someone on looks it would be Katy Perry or Ashlynn Brooke. But my girlfriend is perfect in every way. So she is the ideal woman.
Where would you take a woman on a first date?The football. That is the first test, if that don’t pass that, there is no point keeping them. On a serious note though, something casual. You don’t want anything too formal.
If you could be anybody else for a day, who would you be?Any Man United player. Or Charlie Sheen.

In my opinion, it is symbolic but means nothing. You have rocks in your head if you think the public know who the main men of Al-Qaeda are or any terrorist group. Don’t get me started. To be honest I have nothing against a bandwagon fan, if someone has no connection with any club, they have to pick someone and 9 times out of 10 it will be a popular club. It is when they talk about how much they support the club but no jack shit about it. United have millions of “bandwagon fans” but I don’t call them fans or supporters, just followers. Sometimes when I was younger I went through phases wanting to support a “lesser” team as I always got (and still get) labelled a glory hunter but I was forced into United. So in the end I don’t have much time for them at all but I understand that they have to follow someone. It is a good thing for United that City and Chelsea are becoming a lot bigger and hopefully take some of the glory hunters.
