Jersey Number and why?17. Many people see my football shirts - my Everton ones in particular - and say "oh, you only got that number because it's Cahill's number". That is in fact false; when I was in about under 9s or 10s, we started playing against other clubs and got our first numbered jerseys (we'd played intraclub games in coloured bibs until then). The shirts were numbered from two to 89 (one and 90-99 were keepers's shirts), and I was in the second team to get their bag of shirts. The coach (probably my Dad at that stage) doled them out and gave me 17, and since that day I've always worn that number.
Occupation? Student, work part time at Video Ezy.
What’s your postage like? Forum and post?Pretty good on here, my net's been stuffing up a bit lately so I've been down on my normal amounts. As for the post, I send a bit of stuff actually - mainly parcels for my family - back to Canberra.
At what point did you realise you weren't going to make it as a professional footballer? Honestly? I hold out hope to this day that I could be. Goalkeepers don't mature until they're 30-odd.
In reality, though, it was probably about year eleven when I gave up playing ACTPL to concentrate on study. My keeping coach said I had potential to go places, but I knew I couldn't sacrifice school for football.
Can you tell us a little about your amateur football career or any other sporting career? I was the first and only graduate to come back to my school football club and play U18s (I fitted into the age bracket and all my mates were younger, so I played in their team).
Where are the burgers better?Johnno's Pizza in Mawson, ACT. We used to go there and get a burger, 1.25L Coke and a Zoo mag every Friday at lunch during year 11 and 12. Those were the days.
Favourite Drink/Beverage?Sarsaparilla or beer. The brew has to be right for the time of year - rich, warming ales in winter and crisp, dry lagers in summer. That said, I'm fond of Guinness all year round (my fathers side is Irish, I can't help it).
FM, FIFA or PES?FIFA, though I love FM. I've been really lax on both and haven't played in months due to uni and work.
Everton FC:Favourite EFC player of all time?Tough choice. I love Alan Ball and Graeme Sharp, but that's only from footage I've seen. From my era, probably Big Duncan Ferguson - the bloke was a monster.
Currently? Everyone in this country associates Everton with Timmy Cahill, and I do love him, but apart from scoring goals, he doesn't add much to the team - he doesn't create as much as other CAMs in world football. I'd probably have to say my favourite is Tony Hibbert or Fellaini, both for cult value. Hibbo's only ever played for Everton, yet has scored more goals against us than for us.
Greatest EFC game? Ever: The '85 ECWC win in Rotterdam.
Recently: The FA Cup semi against United.

Favourite EFC memory?Everton 3 Liverpool 0. Watching Reina drop that ball in front of Andy Johnson for him to head it in right at the end really topped it off.

To go from the elation of scoring in the first minute to losing against a team we really should have beaten absolutely shattered me. I won't lie, I cried a bit but I'm proud we made it that far and beat Liverpool and United in the process.
Funniest EFC memory?Ryan Nelsen conceding the stupidest penalty in history for Blackburn against us. Fucking lol.

Active Support or the silent tactical analyst?A bit of both. I love being in the active support when I can, but most of my mates prefer sitting and dissecting the match play-by-play.

Which team in the A-league do you have more of a liking too?Probably Sydney FC. They're my local team now, though they have little to no presence in Wollongong whatsoever. Even the local paper doesn't feature stories on them during the season.
What is your view on the finals series system?A necessary evil. Needs work though. I'd like a top four, then have a ballot to see who plays who.
Where do you see the a-league in 5 years time?Either broke or better: it can only go two ways from here. Expansion will come in time, but I think people really need to chill out. I know that both Canberra and Wollongong should have representation, but if the money's not there, then the region has to wait. I know Wollongong can sustain an A-League team, both financially and people-wise, but if the FFA (in their eternal wisdom) don't believe that the club would stay afloat, then so be it.
What would you do to entice more big names to the A-league?More money. Simple.
What is your summary on the A-league season?The best team won, although they nearly pulled defeat from the jaws of simple victory. I think the most disappointing thing about the whole HAL season was people simply ragging on about crowds every single fucking week, where it just got to a point of saturation: we all said "yes, we know, we're trying to fix it" and just moved on. We were all so dragged down by it that we stopped caring and just accepted that crowds would be crap, instead of getting to more games, taking mates and going on away trips.
Other:Favourite football player of all time?Pelé. The man was a magician. He learnt to play with a grapefruit. A fucking GRAPEFRUIT.
Favourite non Aussie player? Other than Pelé? Jeremie Janot.
Favourite Aussie Player? Dukes, Johnny Warren and Bozza.
Favourite other clubs?Olympique de Marseille, Celtic, Barca and Portland Timbers
The club you hate but secretly admire? None, honestly. I definitely don't secretly admire Liverpool. Good on them for winning lots of things, but that's not admiration.
Club or Country? Support? Club. I mean, the Socceroos don't play enough to really "follow" them, but I love watching them when they do. As for playing, I'd pick country over club every time (if I had the chance).
Other hobbies/sports/interests?Rugby league, design, writing, photography, cooking, travel.
Favourite non football sports star/s?I really admire Mohammad Ali, not just because he was a great fighter and an intelligent guy, but because he stood for something. He knew he was more than people said he was because of his colour, and he spoke out about Vietnam and conscription.
Ideal Woman?Funny, smart, quickwitted, compassionate, appreciates the little things.
Where would you take a woman on a first date?Probably my place for a home cooked meal. I'm not going to go spending big in a fancy restaurant, because that really isn't the kind of guy I am. I'm the type to put care and time into something in the hope of the girl appreciating that I've given of myself and not just of my wallet.
If you could be anybody else for a day, who would you be?Crown Prince Fredrik. He goes around sailing, chilling, owning Greenland, having a hot Aussie wife. Pretty sweet.

Look at the two biggest adidas-sponsored slubs in the EPL: Liverpool and Chelsea. Both their kits are great this year, and are a vast improvement from last year's shockers.

I hate that Madonna adopted from Malawi, yet I admire that Brangelina have done (conflicting, I know). It's also because I think they're investing in the future, because no doubt the kids they adopt will get an education and give back to their community when they're adults. That's what I hope for, anyway.
