Olympic Ultras start a revolution! Alex Poulos Monday, 14 February 2011 Yes that’s right Sydney Olympic FC is at the fore front once again baby! 2009 was the establish date of the Olympic Ultras which was created by 12 young Sydney Olympic fans to bring back the glory days that were created by the pre assessors such as the Olympic Army who were great ambassadors of the club in the NSL era. The Olympic Ultras for season 2010 was the loudest fan group in the NSWPL with the only other club to come close were the boys from Edensor Park making some good noise and atmosphere at the Chook Farm Edensor Park and the EPU made some good away trips to Belmore Sports Ground and WIN Stadium. But the Olympic Ultras have created an institution that many are taking notes from and so they should. In December of 2010 they held an Under 18's dance party that had 500 teenagers at and at one point they were all chanting Olympic and the Kalymnian Hall in Rockdale was a rock of blue and white youngsters having fun and breading life into Olympic! Does it stop there no the boys at the Ultras have been interviewing many ex-Olympic legends like Peter Katholos, David Barrett and more asking for there opinions on the club. The Olympic of old and new. Who can forget that in late 2010 the boys saved some relics were from the old social club in Hurlstone Park before knock down 4 Olympic ultras made way to the club house and saved singed photos and jerseys featuring Peter Raskopoulos and Gary Meir, Oh wait a box of beer and love for your club can save for you. Merchandise is coming and more noise and bigger numbers from the Olympic Ultras. A fan group leading the way. Now we are seeing APIA wanting to get in on the act with the launch of the fanatics and there are much talk doing the rounds in Bonnyrigg of a rebirth of the AVALA boys. The premier league is catching on fire on because of the Olympic Ultras baby. GET DOWN with the HASH Brown as Andreaaa the legend would say. See you all at Belmore Sports Ground this year for an epic Olympic year. The Olympic Ultras leading the way in non-violent fan groups.
