Could possibly see it happen but I don't think he'd be heading to the Phoenix.. Does have some mighty Australian connections with his father and of course his brother has played for the Socceroos (until we realised he was rubbish) What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Christian Vieri To A-League [RUMOUR]? Have your say.

This move is extremly unlikely. His club (Fiorentina) looks like they may have a chance at qualifing for the champions league next season providing they can hold of Milan in the league. They also have a good shot at winning the UEFA cup this season which is another path into the champions league. If this occurs Vieri will want to be apart of it even though he's old and may not play much. In any case a move from the best (or one of the best) league in the world to the A-League is not likely however there is some hope due to his Aussie heritage.

Sounds like shite to me, can't even see a guest stint in this one however make me wonder how much money is in a football team is Terry is trowing more money into his second year.

Its very unlikely. He may do such a move, but i dont think itll happen this season. if the Phoneix do pull it off, then full credit to them and i cant wait to see him at Suncorp.

We preffer to be known as WELLINGTON Brett, we're not Auckland (New Zealand and they brazenly called themselves) anymore. General consensus on Yellow Fever is that we don't want such a whiney bloke so we're not dreaming in the first place.

Stop complaining Lemon your lucky the FFA let a NZ team into the A-League. Your not even in the Asian confederation so you can't play in the Asian Champoins League if you happen to qualify which I hope will never happen so suck it in and harden the F*ck up!

And what's so weak about wanting the club to be given its proper name jazz? You appear to feel threatened by an NZ club, why don't you harden the fuck up and accept we're here and here to stay.

Problem with playing in NSW is that football players tend to retire mid-late 30's, hes like 38 so he wont play for any NSW team cause thats when arthritus kiks in

I was pretty much only whinging about the "New Zealand" thing, it's just a bit annoying.
I'm an Australian but I've lived over here for quite a while and being from NT who the hell else am I gonna support?

God, i cant wait untill Wellington win and want a place in the AFC, their still in Oceania. will that mean they get into the OCL, like Sydney did a couple of yrs ago.
But the bit about Weelington winning, is a bit far fetched lol. I'll be dead before they get in the top 3

Critical lemon I see your dilemma, my apologies. I just get pissed of with people who support clubs from far away for no good reason other than “their good”.

We don't like that we can't be in the ACL but we accept it, we may be playing in the OCL next season.

Oceania is a dead confederation...might as well bite the bullet and divide Asia into two...East Asia/Pacific and West Asia/Middle East. The dividing line could be Pakistan/India. That would solve the problem of AFC wanting more Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Australian teams in the ACL, and help the game in the Pacific regions (including NZ) win/win really. I know that there is money flaoting in the gulf states but i don't think those clubs make a profit, just big cash cows for rich sheiks to peddle their money into to placate the masses. It shouldn't be a problem to divide it up. Except that FIFA is the new reich and must be appeased in the process.

I have to agree with the east/west asia idea. OFC needs to dissolve anyway. Yay! Wellington might get to play in the prestigious OCL! I can't begin to understand how excited they must be by that proposition...

Well, you know one thing is for sure. He can't be supporting Wellington just because "their good". He must have some deep psychological need to support a team that constantly let's him down. You know, like Tottenham supporters.

why not? there was a rumour flying around a couple of months ago that Inter Lions (from the NSW State League) were signing him on some kind of guest stint for a couple of games while he is scheduled to be in the country after the Serie A finished...
At least this is more believable than that. But can the Phoenix afford to have a player on Aloisi type wages - the most expensive footballer of any kind in the country? I honestly dont know

This would be the best. Vieri was my favourite player during the late 90's. I'd go to as many games as possible. Should play for Sydney too... then at least i can follow my team as well...

Terry Serepisos is pretty damn rich, I wouldn't be surprised if he could afford Vieri. Just don't think he'd go near him with a bargepole, possible black hole of cash.
