NSL finished 5 years ago MacdeoniaisGreek.
Move on.
The B-League will never happen in your lifetime.
I look forward to your claims of "thousands" at the gate on Sunday.
Will be lucky to get a 1000.
Most (90%) of the old fans who used flock to Belmore don't give a sh*t about the NSWPL.
You guys have been first ALL YEAR and bring an average of a few hundred to "away" games which are actually only a short drive away from NOT another city.
You need a serious reality check junior.
Olympic have been far and away the best team this year YET your fans still don't come to games.

Minimalistix wrote:We will find out in 5 days time :D And for the record, no one cares about the NSWPL except us fanatics. It is quite sad but that is just the way it is. The fans of all the old clubs who used to flock in the old days will never return. Best to just accept our position in the NSWPL and get on with it.

Why should we accept just being A nobody club in a shitty league. Why shouldnt clubs try and strive to make there clubs great?
If individual clubs like Olympic, United, BWE, Rockdale and Sutherland get average crowds of 1000+ the league would naturally become better, taken more seriously, more competitive and etc. It happens at an individual club level, if each club improved so will this shit league. We're doing our part, and stop shooting us down for wanting to make our club the best it can be.

The biggest problem I think we face, especially for the clubs from the NSL is that that generation of kids that used to always be at the various social clubs and would be at games every weekend have mostly moved on or will sooner rather than later and there's no new generation coming through like there used to be.

That's right. I think its the worse with United. U had 400-500 people at United vs Olympic/3rd vs 1st. Take away 50-100 Olympic supporters and there was only 300-400 united supporters for such a huge clash. What happens in 15-20 years time when all the old Cros have passed on and all ur left with is 50 SUS and there kids. I'll be damned if That happens to Olympic.
Kolner, we finished 2nd last last season and still had several (!!!) games with 1000+ people, which were vs Sutherland, United, Berries, Rockdale and BWE

Just cut out the spin buddy - no teams will ever pull averages of over 1000. Not even BWE.

We get a lot more then 600 + what we rent out has our offices, trophy room, media room, physio room and the best Corporate Boxes in the League included in the price. It was the only Ground for hire that had sufficient needs for the Clubs. Should look beyond just the seating capacity. 300 in a 12000 seater ground is about the same as 600 in a 25000 seater ground, yeah? The main difference being is that we're not paying rent on ours. Anyway, lol @ you blokes dreaming about a B-League.

I edit the 2011 season wikipedia page. I get all my sources from FNSW and the NSW Premier League website. There's no bullshit on my edits, but I wouldn't say from expirience that the crowd reports are 100% accurate. They round figures off to the nearest 100, and if they're not even sure, they'll put 300 approx. (example). Don't go hating on wikipedia, yes, there are people who purposly try to vandalise and fuck things up, but there's an entire army of people dedicated to making sure Wikipedia is as reliable as possible.
WOLLONGONG WOLVES FOR A-LEAGUE EXPANSION!

So you guys are telling me you are happy with the way the NSW Premier league is know
Dont you want football in Australia to thrive or are we doing well at the moment and cant get any better
Im not here to win popularity stakes but im here and tell you how it was
Bonnyrigg vs Olympic not more than 600 people Last two years before last Sat Bonnyrigg drew over a 1000
As for Olympic im sure this year we will draw over 1000 to all our games
Our opening two games against Sydney United and Sutherland we drew over 1500 people
We came second last year and we avraged between 300 to 1800 people during the season
Im just saying Rockdale is Midtable and they didnt have more than 300 people last week
Winning teams bring bigger crowds and you will that with Olympic this year
As for me calling Rockdale Bankstown Melita shitty clubs thats all they are
Sorry but the truth hurts to lot of people on here
When i write something and people disagree they call me names and avoid a answer
The B league will happen and the A league will need the ethnics support to survive

When i write something and people disagree they call me names and avoid a answer
The B league will happen and the A league will need the ethnics support to survive
] you have no idea. you make it out as if olympic are the torch bearers for how PL teams should be run. fact of the matter is champ, for years olympic was able to count on massive support and yet have nothing tangible to show for it. your supporter base has declined continuously year to year. nobody on here has said theyre happy with the way the league is going, but you guys live in a fantasy world if you think olympic are leading the way and are doing well. and quit conjuring up fanciful crowd figures and the like. you go on to criticise our crowd last weekend even though you yourself claim olympic's crowds last year were between 300-1800. so tell me, which was the 300 crowd game? did it ever occur to you that maybe last sunday was our worse crowd pulling game of the season. cold and overcast day, us out of form, on the back of a terrible home performance the week before, against a low profile team with no travelling supporters. seriously, reality check required. i hope you guys do well at the turnstiles, sincerely. hopefully all your boasting about how great your crowds are and how great your club is going doesnt come back to bite you. finally, you called rockdaler a shitty club. well last time i checked, that shitty club plays in the same comp as your great club, has around the same support, and can at least say it has invested into infrastructure to make a home of its own. 40 odd years of mighty olympic and what do you have to show for it? thats right, not much. thats a real shame because olympic should be much much bigger than what it is today and have more to boast than a co-tenancy arrangement with the bulldogs in which you guys will play second fiddle the minute they move their admin and training back to the kennel.
