Fo yoo, speshal pwice. ;) Maybeee you come back tomorrow, say "ey, I want it for $17.95, I say 'Noooo'."
haha Russell Peters... classic.
You sure it didn't say "$7.95"? Did you ask WHY they were selling at that price?

That was probably the english version of the game, since they fly it in specialy, it's very expensive.
the Australian version of the mag is $8.95.

After finally saving up enough silver for this month's issue, I wasn't shocked to discover that the mag cost a measly $8.50. Next to which were the January, February and March UK mags which were $12.50. Sounds like your newsagent was REALLY trying to rip you off mk !!

Just so we're clear in advance as this thread started off with some confusion between the pricing of the overseas import edition and the local pricing and has now moved on to our Euro 2008 special pack.
The Euro 2008 special issue will be priced at $9.95 and will contain the following
100 page June issue of FourFourTwo 60 page Euro 2008 preview magazine A1 giant wallchart
Cheers

Won't be easy given that they don't exactly have access to the coaches and players so on that score i'm a little sceptical as to the quality of articles and interviews. Will give you my objective opinion after i've read it. And $9.95 for that package is top value.

Hi Hero....given the strength of our editorial team in Europe we'd be stupid to try and do it from here.
All the player/team/research has been done in Europe.
Locally we've done some roundtables with fans and interviewed European based Socceroos as to how they think their team mates and/or the countries in which they play will do.
I'm sure you'll be happy with what we deliver.

I think Australia needs to see more technically and tactically world cllaaarrrrsssshhhhh Dutch,French and Brazilian football writers working in the local football magazine industry. We have relied on English football writers for too long and I'm afraid to say they bring absolutely nothing to the football magazine market we dont already have.English football magazines are technically and tactically poor and if we conmtinue to use them we'll never have a magazine like Voetball International,France Football and LaCancha....

Im very disappointed. Not having Foxtel, and then finding out that Euro is a pay per view feature on Setanta broadband... >.< I tore my wall chart into shreds. No offence. :P

I agree about the wallcharts, they are definitely the best wallcharts you can find around. Put mine up on the wall moment i got it, just had to cover the players pictures -religious thing- anyway, but good on 442, they definitely have the best wallchartsand they nice and big so you can write on them and it takes up space on the wall, so your room dont look bland.
as for Setanta, well, you have no choice but to get it if you want to watch euro. if you dont have fox, bit of a problem there, but myp2p will definitely have something. only problem with setanta now, is they keep repeating their programs throughout the day. I watched the rangers game twice yesterday and the greece-cyprus game was on twice. surely there have more shows out there or even uefa champs league preview shows for the finals or epl reveiws and all that.

Setanta do have lots of repeats ATM. I expect it to hot up with internationals during the european summer though.i

Quote:just had to cover the players pictures -religious thing- anyway Does taht have something to do with worshiping false idols or something?? Quote:I watched the rangers game twice yesterday and the greece-cyprus game was on twice. surely there have more shows out there or even uefa champs league preview shows for the finals or epl reveiws and all that. I guess it comes down to what they can afford the rights to. But surely they can find some original material around somewhere...

Theyve got MUTV on a lot now. "How we won the league" and other epic shits like that. They should buy LFCtv ffs.

Even if they did buy it, the only place they could screen it is in england. You're only allowed to show the [club]tv channels of two clubs in any given nation and since we already get Chelski and manure they won't show it.
