Rumour is he might have finished his money spinning stint in HK. A potential "goal scoring marquee" for HAL next year?
BTW he was sh*t in Hong Kong.

And Nicky Butt too, but I guess you have to be really desperate to be interested.

If Francis Jeffers did well in HAL why not Kezman? He's still only 32 and a proper pre-season may fix him up.

Kez was a great player at PSV because of one reason. The whole team played this kind of football to be able to deliver to Kez, or at least to support him the best way possible. At most other teams this doesn't happen. He'll have to create his own chances which is kind of a quality he lacks. Though it is surprising he was this bad in HK, he must have some qualities since he's played at chelsea.
Anyway, no good deal for any a-league club. Let him go to Auckland City or whatever then he can play his last WC [for clubs].

Kezman was great at PSV for one reason, and that's that he was playing in the Eredivise which disguised just how unbelievably shit he was and still is.

You're saying Kezman looked good, mostly because Eredivisie is/was shit?
Sure, it's nothing like the EPL or La Liga but the level of play is respectable. Especially back when Kezman played at Eindhoven. Players in the eredivisie in his years include Arjen Robben, Heitinga, Van Bommel, Sneijder, Joris Mathijsen, Dirk Kuyt, Andre Ooijer and many more, and this is only mentioning the dutch players. All WC finalist right?
I am convinced that he was good, because he had great players around him which delivered great balls into the box. Let me just name a couple of players he played with in his last season before going to london. Ooijer, Robben, Rommedahl, Ji-Sung Park, Young-Pyo Lee and Mark van Bommel. Up front together with a targetman like Vennegoor he just had to be a freaking goal machine, and he was.
And sure at chelsea he had even better players around him but at chelsea he wasn't the main forward, the team didn't adapt to his style but he had to adapt to the team. That's where he failed. Nevertheless, i think he can be a great player if you put the right wingers alongside of him. Would of been great to see him play at Adelaide together with the likes of Flores and Leckie. Unfortunately that will never happen now Leckie's gone.

Heck, I'd take failed big money signings who "only did well in the Eredivisie", thanks.
Kezman would be a massive signing for any A-League club. Massive. And he'd score a bucket.

Ever since leaving PSV he's done absolutely nothing apart from a decent spell at Fenerbache from 06-08 and since then he's been complete and utter shit. He hasn't scored 5 goals in a league season since 08, and since leaving PSV in 04 he has cracked 10 league goals in a season once. Hell he's only cracked 10 goals in all competitions 3 times in 7 years. And some people think that is good enough to be signed up as a marquee? Edited by sydneycroatia58: 19/5/2011 04:32:38 AM

Apparently he's now fielding offers from MLS and Middle East. No mentioning of any HAL interests though.
